Belgium international Amadou Onana has signed for Everton from LOSC Lille for an undisclosed fee, agreeing a five-year contract until the end of June 2027.
The 20-year-old central midfielder – considered one of Europe’s most exciting talents – becomes the Blues’ fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of defenders James Tarkowski and Rúben Vinagre, forward Dwight McNeil and centre-back Conor Coady.
Powerful, fast, technically skilled and with the ability to be used in a range of central-midfield roles, Onana revealed the chance to play for manager Frank Lampard, passionate Evertonians and ‘one of the biggest clubs in England’ were key to him committing his long-term future to Everton.
“It feels great to join Everton. I know it’s a big, big club, one of the biggest in England,” Onana told evertontv. “It’s something I want to be part of for many years.”

Welcome to Everton Amadou Onana. COYB!!
Time for Neils Nkounkou to move on. Leeds needs a left back. Let him go there. Man went on loan only to come back and still be behind Mykolenko and Vinagre. Time for him to go pick up his career elsewhere. There’s no future for him at Everton.
He said lukaku 😑
Will be so good in championship next season 🤣🤣
this kid looks class. and he seems very well spoken. cant wait to see what he has got , not just this season but for his future. hopefully a EFC Legend in the making.
That mamba mentality
You just know he is going to be a special player. The way conducts himself and speaks. He is only 20 years old too.
This is exactly the type of players we should be signing now, young, hungry and ambitious.
hell of a signing, gonna be massive player, well done blues (from a red)
