For a team that often lacks cutting edge, bringing Solanke back, if he has a buyback clause, is a no-brainer.
Both players are at clubs that are challenging for the title in their respective leagues so I don't see either of them leaving this January. Liverpool should be looking at players within the premier league, Ait Nouri for example.

it’s a weird one with signing a right back because we have so many midfielders now, if trent moves into midfield think about how many 8’s we’d have. Trent, szob, macca, gravenberch, curtís and elliott. I just don’t see how we can keep so many top midfielders happy, if we sign a right back who’s happy to play as many games as tsimikas or gomez play right now and they’re class then go for it so at times we can put trent in there but all those midfielders are young so they’ll all only get better and in all i think we should fully commit to signing a centre back / left back so we can play with trent inverted almost all the time
why would inacio choose arsenal over us? gabriel and saliba are like 25 and 22 then there’s white and timber as backups when they’re rarely injured. If he joined us he might be third choice but konate is always out and you’d expect van dijk to take a step back in a couple years and play less games or even inacio could become a start over him if van dijk struggles to adapt to his body aging

From the outside it looks like Liverpool only need a fexible defensive player or maybe 2
On his current form I'd definitely take Solanke back. I know people will say that we already have Jota, Nunez and Gakpo. Here's the thing for me, Jota is our only attacker that plays best as a striker. Nunez can play there but he's insanely wasteful and he tends to have more of an impact on the left wing. I also think Gakpo tends to go missing more when he's playing striker. I wouldn't mind having him and Nunez as our two left wingers and perhaps moving Diaz on as I'm losing hope that he'll fulfill his full potential with all the injuries and personal problems he's had.
Happy for Solanke. We don’t need him (we have Gakpo), but happy for him.
