Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool ended in a rather uneventful 0 0 draw, but the real drama unfolded deep into stoppage time.
Late into second-half stoppage time, with the game threatening to fizzle out, Dalot was shown a red card for what was termed as ‘double dissent.’
Now, what exactly happened? The controversy erupted when Dalot vehemently disagreed with the referee’s decision to award a throw-in to Liverpool, despite the ball clearly coming off Mohamed Salah.
Former ref Mike Dean shed light on the situation. According to him, Dalot’s actions after the throw-in decision got him a caution. And then, he added more dissent, sealing his fate with a red card.
Gary Neville pressed Dean on what constitutes ‘double dissent,’ and Dean clarified that: He has done it once and received a caution, he has then done it again after the caution to receive a red.
Now, let’s talk about the fairness of this decision. Was it professional refereeing, or did emotions come into play?

  1. Dalot did not even hold the ball or slammed the ball to the ground, y 2nd yellow ?????? Players cannot show frustration in the game ?? What about the intended shouldering crashed by Nunes on Jonnie evan ?? Intention is less offensive than frustration REFS ?? Well dont play football then opt for rugby ‼️

  2. We need to no what about VAR and what can referees do to full the seen or to make their own bed decisions about our club since the beginning of this season among the game of the table lead with united Ganrcho 's goal etc.
