Geo discusses Mohammed Kudus and his potential to become world class after the Ghanaian ‘star boy’ scored two goals for West Ham United as they defeated Wolves 3-0 at The London Stadium. David Moyes continues to get the best out of the former Ajax winger as he now has 8 goals for the Hammers and is performing sensationally with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta

  1. I promise to stop promoting Christmas jumpers after tomorrow (but we need to sell as many as possible)! These will NOT be reduced after Christmas as we have to honour the pre-sale price and keep it as a reward! Anyway, if you fancy grabbing one then head here: https://hammerschatstore.com/collections/christmas

Anything ordered on Monday or prior WILL be sent on Tuesday morning and all items are sent tracked 48 so it should arrive in plenty time!

Cheers for tuning in, Mohammed Kudus, what a damn fine player!

    Catch you tomorrow
    Geo x

  2. Kudus and Paqueta play was a real joy to watch today and that's something we haven't had much of for a while now, 2nd half we let up which I don't like but apart from that I don't get why we can't more like this? I wouldn't have a problem with Moyes if he'd give our squad more freedom and just take off the brake especially against teams where we can get the win?

  3. Moyes has built a structure that is flexible. When we have good players available we play like today. But if we need to grind out results we can adapt. The Kudus and Bowen problem can be solved by players adapting. It is a myth that players cannot adapt, adding new skills.

They have one job and all day to do it.. Just like you Geo, you can make videos and pack Christmas jumpers, see how that works? Adaptable!

Today all three goals feature players breaking forward and being hit with fast accurate balls and finishing clinically.. When we did not have the ball we got back into a solid formation. Result 3 goals and a clean sheet.
Moyes insists his attacker defend and use the ball well.

his is why Benrahma sometimes gets into trouble, both with decisions and tracking back. I agree with this discipline because when we aren't scoring we are less likely to lose and those points add up.

  4. Kudus isn't WC. Why do our fans class every player WC.

Rice is WC apparently (no he isnt).
Paqueta is WC apparently (no he isn't)
Kudus is WC apparently (no he isnt).

Can we stop calling players WC when they are not close to being WC yet.

  5. I'm not quite sure why Bowen couldn't play left. He is after all predominantly left footed. We need Antonio to be fit, but if he is we have the opportunity to play Paquetta centrally. Bowen can go back to the right when Kudus is away.

  6. Geo, bit harsh calling Kudus a Coo, i thought he is more of a bull…..Scottish banter.
You're totally correct though, athletic, quick and direct. Magnificent player. āš’ļø

  7. Problem won't arrise . We won't buy a striker and Antonio is very unlikely to play well when he returns from injury. So it will be Bowen up front again after African Nations

  8. Amazing amazing amazing footballer – i remember your videos and i was of the same opinionāš’ļøāš’ļøšŸ‡¬šŸ‡šŸ‡¬šŸ‡

  9. Kudus was extremely good but I thought Paqueta was the game changer. 3 assists and a few millimeters from Bowen giving him another one to equal the EPL record.

  10. Yesterday proved exactly why a CF shouldn’t be our number 1 priority for the next transfer window. Scoring goals never has been our problem other than the 1st half of last season. Even the much criticised Antonio still has ā€˜contributed’ 4 goals in 12 league appearances this season so far and he’s our 2nd choice CF. Kudus can play there too. Even Paqueta has had some minutes there and actually did alright.

There’s no way the likes of Guirassy would start over Bowen at the moment. He’s one of the most in-form forwards in the league. And equally why would he leave when he at least starts at Stuttgart?

Would I still like to identify a long term replacement for Antonio to alternate with Bowen in the summer window? Yes, as Antonio still isn’t getting any younger and we’ll struggle if Bowen or Kudus are missing for lengthy spells. But we have more pressing matters than that position, such as we’re a DM/CM light, and the competition on the left hand side of the defence is poor. We’re weaker attacking wise when Emerson is missing and the flaky Aguerd needs some pressure for his starting spot.

We’ll probably need a RB too with Johnson and Kehrer likely to leave in the next 2 windows and Coufal in his 30s.

Moyes will want a LAM. He’s chased one every summer window he’s been here. Eze, Lingard, Kostic, Barnes, Borges. The club let him down and failed to bring any of them in. And certainly at least the first 4 mentioned would’ve been quality signings and walked straight into our team. I guess none were with Sullivan’s favourite agents though!

A physically imposing holding midfielder should be our number 1 priority for me. If Alvarez and Soucek are missing we’re bullied a lot easier.

  11. Every now and then west ham bring in players and after a month or so you just wonder how on earth did we manage to sign them, we've got two of them in our side.

Not sure how long they'll be with us as clearly they're top players but watching paqueta and kudus is a blessing, they're unreal footballers.

  12. How about actually giving Maxwel Cornet a chance instead of spending more money on another left winger? Benrahma has had long enough to make the position his own and failed to be consistent enough. Cornet has simply not been given a chance has he?

  13. Geo, at last, we are playing some of what I consider as football. One or 2 changes have at last been made that us none professionals have been crying out for, for ages. Someone or something has seen the light and taken Moyes's strangle off the talented group. Kudus, Paqman & KUDUS now pulling up trees.

  14. Nice one Geo. What a lovely gift for my birthday, yesterday's game was! I looked forward to it and it did not disappoint.I can't wait for the forthcoming games and I haven't felt this way for a long time. COYI

  15. Two points:
Kudus has 9 goals – Backa Topola x 2, NUfc, Arsenal (EFL), Brentford, CPal, Freiburg & Wol x 2.
Jan schedule is 'light'. AFCON starts on the 13th Jan. Finishes on the 11th Feb.
Premier League Winter Break, 2023-24 Season

It’s not an international break, but there are weekends in January when half the Premier League won’t be playing. This is so that everybody gets a week off but there are still games each week. Those weekends are January 13 and 20, 2024.
There is also the 4th round of the FA cup on 27th Jan.
