Big takeaways here from Alphonso Davies 👇👇

1️⃣ You don’t need to get big to get strong

‼️ There is a misconception where players think you NEED to get big to become stronger. For those who have trained like an athlete with a good training program know this isn’t the case. Programs in bio.

2️⃣ Strength is nothing without knowing how to use your body – train, train, train against others

‼️ The gym supplements your football. Use it as a tool and understand playing my football is what will get you better at playing football.

3️⃣ Don’t train like a bodybuilder. Watch the full video for this one.

‼️ If all you do is strength/gym work and no high speed training (above 95%) of your Top Speed your “injury prevention” isn’t maximized. Research shows us there’s nothing that will get you faster and reduce hamstring injuries than high speed running (Edouard et al., 2019).

  2. Do you have any recommendations to healing turf toe completely? I’ve had it for 3 months. It’s gotten better but it hasn’t fully healed, and I’ve been stuck in the same amount of pain for a few weeks. Been doing physical therapy for a month and a half. I can sprint 80% speed, but I can’t go 90% or 100% or else I’d feel pain since I’m using more power or force on my toe
