  1. Matip have been miles better than Konate this season. Konate is actually absolute rubbish this season .He starts because we do not have anyone of any quality now there. He give the ball away , give unnecessary free kicks away , evety clearance under very little pressure is in the opposite side .Not good enough.

  2. I really hate being That Liverpool Fan but I just don't understand what these guys watch. Konate is a good defender who gets injured a lot. He was out injured until recently. That's why he wasn't starting regularly, not so much lack of trust. Nunez is the starting #9, and yes, needs to convert his chances more, but is clearly the starter because he creates the chances and gets into good positions. Combining his goals and assists this season and we can see he's playing really well, and if he gets some confidence in front of goal, he'll be one of the best forwards in the league. As it is, his output is still more than good enough compared to the other options to justify starting him. He didn't start this match because Liverpool play again at noon on Saturday and Klopp needed to rotate so he doesn't burn his players out. Salah came off early for that reason; Klopp has to use his squad.

These guys are paid what must be at least decent money to know this stuff. I certainly don't expect them to be right 100% of the time or even know as much about any team as the average fan of that team, but sometimes I just question the reasoning skills here and how much attention is being paid to the teams they're covering.

  3. He's too erratic for me. He was poor against Fulham. Gakpo is the better footballer, Darwin needs to calm down and stop snatching at chances or getting wound up. I love the lad but he works better as a sub at this moment in time.

  4. Nunez is very frustrating player, works he’s bollocks of,got a bit of anger in him to which is good, got fantastic movement pace and skill, but he’s finishing is so wild and poor,he should be getting haaland numbers with chances he gets and great ones to,but he just seems to lash at them all the time either go wide or straight at the keeper,Liverpool need to bring fowler Owen in work with him, them little Michael Owen dinks would get him easily ten more goals, fowler array of finishing,if Nunez added that class finishing to he’s game be world class

  5. Matip is probably one of the most underrated defenders of all time. Looks like a baby giraffe but is actually graceful and calm, and is far more reliable than Konate, who actually plays like a baby giraffe.

  6. Nunez reminds me of Bobby Firmino in the team. Not the best finisher but when he’s on the field, you just know he will be involved in a goal at some point. If you can’t see what he adds to the team, you’re an idiot

  7. Darwin Nunez is one of the most exciting prospects in world futball. All he needs is confidence and composure and he can become one of the best strikers in the premier league and maybe even the world.

  8. You can literally see the difference of attacking with Nunez on and off without him it’s just dead out there like where is gakpo in the center 😭I could barely point him out

  9. Speed and work rate are not enough to be a starter. His inability to finish or to exhibit mental acuity is staggering. He's a real toddler when it comes to responding to adversarial taunting. Being a hot-head may be exhilarating to fans but it really just belies his immaturity and lack of ability to adjust to the EPL. He's had his chance. Time for someone else to have a go. He's a sub from the bench and, in fact, plays better as a sub.
