  1. Nah, even at 39 Thiago Silva is still better than most defenders in the premier league. Should he be criticized for poor performances, no he's one of the best defenders of his generation and the fact that he's been playing for this long is amazing and he has shown that age is just a number, but the guy isn't at the peak of his career what do you expect. Nobody is perfect and for Chelsea he has been very consistent for them since they signed him, it's obvious that he isn't getting any younger he'll turn 40 next year meaning that you have to be able to cope without him as you have guys like Levi Colwell Axel Diasi Wesley Fofana (when healthy), Trevoh Challobah and since they like to spend money, they'll sign another young defender. He has been shaky at times this season, but has put in excellent performances still and we talk about Luka Modric's longevity how he's still playing at the top even at the age of 38 and in football age is just a number and that's what these legends have shown and you can't criticize them for poor performances.

  2. The thing with these people the expect the players to be gods and never make a mistake or fall short, the are humans go through life and feel pain like everyone else not all the time you're going to have the best game
