The only issue Giroud had was that one season where he missed a few opportunities and us Arsenal fans being overly emotional and not logical. Otherwise Giroud was a brilliant striker

Ngl I was very excited about this transfer to Arsenal, until I heard of the comparison to Giroud. It really left a sour taste in my mouth. Giroud was a decent CF and to be fair to him he has improved significantly since leaving Arsenal, but he had his fair share of donkey moments.
My thoughts are Vlahovic can score a lot of goals, but its about the league he is in. A Ronaldo scored 33 goals in a calender year in his mid 30s. Look at him at United now, while not doing a bad job he's noway near players like Salah. He has 8 in the PL. even Jota has more on 10. In fact he's the 9th highest scorer in the league and plays nearly every match. Another piece of evidence we have that strikers find the Italian league easier to score is Lukaku whos scored 5. Yet ripped up the Italian league, in the PL he struggles to score against any of the top 6 teams. I think this is why teams are unsure about Vlahovic. Not because of him but because of the league he's currently playing in at a team where every play goes through him. Saying that I would love him at City just because of how lethal he can be in front of goal. Something City miss as they have the most chances of any team yet don't score as many as the others in terms of chances created due to midfielders shooting.
This isn't me hating on the Italian league either. The league used to be the pinnacle of defensive play leading to some of the best defenders in the world. Yet at themoment its a league where players like Dzeko can go from a 6 in 26 apps for City with players like David Silva and co feeding him to 29 in his second year at Roma. So he's a bit of a gamble if Fiorientina want insane money but he could well be the next big thing after Halland and Mbappe.
Honestly if he moved to Arsenal that would be a step back hahaha he should go to a bigger team like Man City
