Ange said recently that we might have to sign a midfielder in January due to Bentancur's injury while Bissouma and Sarr will be away on international duty. Not sure that means Phillips though, reckon journalist hear that quote and then have to find a link with a player he himself know of to have an article.

If kalvin is unfit and is over weight what’s the point in vesting in him? You need a midfield to cover the absentees.. he will need at least 6 weeks to be fit enough to play Ange style of football.. Spurs have also been linked to other midfielders.. the likes of Andres .. but I believe Liverpool also after him.. will be great if steel him n he will only cost £20m. As for home quota .. I think spurs academy has enough talent to cover it

Morning Sean. Hope alls well. Not sure on Phillips, my gut tells me he’ll be too much money and I don’t think he’s the level of player that comes in and pushes the other midfielders. I want players that make others look over there shoulder and say “shit, I can’t drop my level cos this guys gonna get my place”… not sure I know who that player is, I just don’t think it’s Phillips. As far as Neves, every party involved has said he’s staying in Saudi. As far as I’m aware they’re top of the league, and he’s become first player on the team sheet due to injuries. They’re also in the quarters or semis of their version of the champions league. Per David Ornstein, unlikely he’s moving anywhere.
