Must admit I was a bit worried when the investigation started and the Man City move fell through that it may affect him on the pitch this season.

Absolutely no chance. He’s playing with even more commitment and positivity than ever. Combine that with his phenomenal talent, you have one hell of a player. Also, he seems to have fitted in a treat with his teammates and seems a very likeable chap.

Not sure how long he’ll be with us for with the likes of Man City knocking on the door but I’m just enjoying the time he’s with us now.

The betting allegations against Lucas were splashed all over the media back in August yet here we are now, almost into December, and there's not been a word about them since,. This is despite Lucas having surrendered his mobile phone to FIFA. I think it's outrageous for FIFA to give allegations that kind of publicity yet fail to follow up with any kind of evidence, as it's harmful to any footballer's career. I hope West Ham will ask FIFA what's taking them so long and I also hope the allegations are groundless.
