Mexico have been knocked out of the World Cup 2022 on goal difference. The Polish goal keeper, Wojciech Szczency made 9 saves, including a penalty save against Argentina which saved their goal difference and helped Poland qualify over Mexico.

Mexico had 3 goals disallowed due to offside, but the one in the video was by far the closest.

    I do think that with this technology, it could be as A.Wegner suggested, where as long as one part of the body of the attacker is in line with one part of the body of the defender, it's a good position. It should increase goal opportunities.

  2. This was not the controversial goal. The Saudi goal was clearly offside, when the ball was attempted to be passed by the eventual goal kicker, due to a wayward forward not returning onside. It doesn't matter who the ball is being passed too. It is when the ball is passed, any player forward of the opposition defenders triggers the call. The Saudi player attempted to pass the ball to his onside teammate at the centre top of the box. This was offside due to the wayward player. The fact that the ball ricocheted off of a mexican defender and back into his possession after which he scored thd goal, doesn't matter.
