  1. That was a decent performance by the Gunners against a team they would've expected to win. Thanks for the Diwali gift Arsenal.

  2. If someone did that kind of tackle to Saka we'd all be calling for a red, so we can't be too surprised. I may be wrong but I think the frustration as Arsenal fans comes from the inconsistency with decisions, often teams who play us are not being punished to the same level for reckless tackles. Newcastle last week and Chelsea particularly stand out.

  3. I only have one question. How do you get to book the club level restaurant if you sit in the lower. I want that for a similar birthday treat. Any advice welcome!

  4. We play against the lowest blocks in Europe, our set piece coach needs to be applauded and same with arteta negating that, fans expect silky passes through low blocks and it’s just not realistic, even City doesn’t do that, you can say prime Liverpool but they used a completely different pressing style from the front, we don’t do that. I’m happy with the results, we are the best if not one of the best out of possession teams in the world, we play a more suffocating style than a free flowing one which I think leads to silverware, you look at Liverpools 3rd season under klopp

  5. Saliba may have become our most important player. Pretty much any other player can be replaced without the team losing too much, but if Big Willy isn't playing we are proper fucked.

  6. Martinelli said in interview this week that Arteta asked him and Saka to be more direct, so not sure their increase in influence is all down to Trossard playing upfront.

  7. Very good set pieces, but still so many issues from open play. Kai just looks like a mistake in every way, not sure what MA saw in him for 65M, guy lacks conviction and fight, literally treats the ball like lava.
I thought it was M. Oliver who didn’t want to ruin games with red cards? I thought Webb had a discussion with the refs to be patient with reds, guess that goes out the window when Arsenal are concerned. The guy is one of the most blatantly biased refs iv ever seen. It’s the inconsistency, I do believe this is a red, but when you think that Fabio is red carded for no mal intent while Bruno G. Basically ran around thug life straight punching and shoving people off the ball gets no red. And anyone else noticed the foul they gave against us for the arm caress? Guess 2 handed shoves aren’t fouls, but one handed caresses are. Gotta reread that rule book.

  8. James, do you not think that Tomi was fouled during the run up to Brownhill's goal? He was pretty much flattened by the Burnley Captain's challenge whilst pulling the shirt of our defender…..

  9. Let’s be honest, Zinchenko wouldn’t be playing at all if Timber was available and brilliant post match interview from Arteta haha. Gabriel Jesus is back next week!

  10. Just sayin , James … listening to Arseblog Extra you do know critique can't be used in place of crticise? It's just one of those mistakes people make that annoy me😅 shouldn't I know
    Great stuff again..
