Should we sack Southgate before the Euros?
Terry, Ferdinand, Campbell, Ashley Cole, Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham, Scholes, Owen, Rooney all walk into this England team. Overrated and in an era of really poor international sides

To be honest, after the last Euros, Southgate should already be gone. I agree with the current golden generation of England players, England would easily be the favorites to win the Euros. However, I'm not sure the England FA fancies the idea of sacking him only now.

out of all the international managers southgate has been one of the best definitely the best england has had for decades. just because people think we have a pool of incredible talent doesn't mean anything, its not easy assembling a team only having a squad for only two weeks every other month just look at the 'golden generation' let alone people pulling out with injuries. brazil have lost three in a row with the team they have.

Surely the level of performance will always coincide with the level of opposition. That's not to defend Southgate, although i dont think he deserves the level of criticism. You cant ask these players to play at the absolute top week in week out. It's impossible. Inevitably they'll drop their level against teams they're expected to walk over. This is more a scheduling problem than is it a Southgate problem.

Completely agree mate, don't get me wrong I like Southgate as person I'd buy the guy a pint if he walked into my local boozer no questions asked.. But we need a winner, not just a "nice guy"! I would never normally say this about English players but this current generation are up there with the very best in Europe, we should therefore be lifting that trophy in Berlin next summer but you're spot on, it'll be the same old story we'll beat a few crappy teams 4/5 goals then come up against a decent side in the quarters/semis and there officially blows the generation's chances.. So frustrating..
