as a man united fan, i wanted to get more of a look at him and i´d say im impressed with alot of his traits for a guy that is relatively tall for a striker. He has great agility with the ball for his height, he certainly can pick out a pass as well. I think physically he´s already built for the EPL. I know ETH had his eye on him, personally i think he´d be a great fit and we desperately need a striker
i tnink he s better than Sancho but Manu need striker or miedfiedl not winger. By the way Gakpo is next T.Henry

He shares the same Agent with ETH and he is Dutch just like ETH. ManUtd is written all over this deal this January. My only worry is that we have too many winger com strikers stacked up at Old Trafford.
Though Van Gaal has shown us that he can play from the CF position, I think ETH will have other ideas. He is smarter than LVG (lol…).My gut feeling tells me that Gakpo will start from his preferred left wing position with Martial/Rashy sharing the burden of a number 9 for now while Antony continues his journey on the left…the bad news for Antony is that he will have to contend with a resurgent Sancho on the right and knowing that Ssncho thrives best on the right as seen from his days at Dortmond. When he (Sancho) resurrects from his slumber/poor form, Anthony will have his work cut out.
Another reason why I think he will favor Gakpo ahead of Rashford on the left is that Cody puts in more accurate crosses and assists from the left position than Rashy. Rashy favors cuts-in and shoot approach when playing from the left unlike Coady who can do thst as well as cross with his left foot. Another thing Coady has going for him on the left is that he makes the pitch bigger in that, he stretches his runs using his left/right foot to the by-line before putting in a beautiful cross/assist for the No9..this is something Rashford does not do too often and as a matter of comparison, this is where Sancho betters Antony from the right. Antony does not do what Robben does by dragging opponents to the by-line and creating from that position. Antony favors cuts-in and shoot just like Rashford. Sancho will make the pitch bigger from the Right (stretch it to the by-line) and also puts in crosses like Coady.
Anyway this can only be s good problem for ETH because he will have 2 sets of wingers com Attackers with different characteristics.
As for Garnacho and Elanga, they will continue to get bit part as substitute or injury forced omissions.
I think the only thing that will convince ETH to go for a proper 9 in the summer is if the goal output fails to increase significantly between Jan and May.
Either way, Gakpo might be a cheaper way of solving our attack problems provided Rashford continues to improve in the number 9 position and Martial tries to remains fit. Fingers crossed.
United may just focus on a ball carrying box-to box midfielder like Enzo or Jude to add to Eriksen in the summer and an additional right full back to share the burden with Dalot.
One mistake we should not make is extending Fred contract. He should be allowed to leave for free in the summer. Enzo Fernandez or Jude will be an upgrade to Fred. And when Bruno needs a rest, Eriksen can also play there.
My opinion though.
Gakpo literally means Iron in the Ewe language of Ghana Togo and Benin his feet are made of iron 😂
