      Watched this again and just realized that Panama Lewis asked for, " the one i mixed in between the second and third round! No way to know how many other rounds were cheated on…..camera wasn't there for every break!

      I've been watching boxing since the early 1960's, and without a doubt, Aaron Pryor was one of (if not the best) punchers I have ever saw. He was in constant motion and threw punches from every angle….they were sharp and very effective punches. This fight here proves Aaron's incredible stamina and footwork….and man, he could take a punch as well, no glass jaw here. DEFINITELY in the Top 3 fighters of ALL TIME in his weight class.

      First you need to get your facts right Pryor wasn't fired from being ray leonard sparring partner he fired from beating another guys sparring partner the same boxer who beat him out for the Olympic trials. Leonard had sparred with Pryor for fun. Pryor was being paid to be another boxer sparring partner & was fired
      2ndly the reason the guy probably said what he said was because Pryors fights didn't last long but against the legendary Arguello it went 14 brutal rounds & neither fighter stopped throwing, everyone knew Arguello did his best work in those championship rds but because Pryor had never fought a tough 15 rd fight no one thought he could do what he did. At the end of the 13th rd Pryor looked dead on his feet than between rds he got a drink from that mixed & stormed out like it was the first rd. Pryor was 26 years old in this fight & was 31 0 0 29 ko & very very hungry to prove himself against a big named boxer. Arguello was 31 years old had over 80 professional fights against some great fighters & alot of wars. Plus he was coming up in weight for the 3rd time fighting in this his 4th weight division. I still think Pryor wina this fight without the fast àcting Ashmà medicine however by decision.

      I remember being quite drunk one night long ago. My right hand was in the channel where the door meets the frame and I slammed the door shut. For a second I just looked at my hand, it was on the inside and the outside of the car at the same time, if you know what I mean. The door was shut tight. I was so drunk I almost laughed. I was so drunk that I removed my hand without opening the door, it just didn't occur to me to open it. I jerked my hand out and went about my business.
      This fight was kind of like that. Arguello blasted Pryor many times with thundering shots, Pryor seemed to enjoy it. In my story I was numb due to intoxication, in this story Pryor was numb but not from alcohol.

      The world against Pryor which he brought on himself. No denying pound for pound one of the greatest natural fighters ever. Got to meet him later in life its really a very sad story.

      Panama was evil look what they did to that Billy who in my opinion could of gone down as one of the best fighters of his era, absolutely disgusting behaviour, if you can't do it with what you have inside then you ain't a winner, roids, juice, hell even alcohol it's cheating simple as that

      Arguello, a p4p all time great, what a heroic performance by the 3 x weight champ, back in an era before they were giving belts away.
      But what about Pryor !
      Man watta fighter !
      He was only a LWW but he had a HW DOG in him.
      Who beats Pryor at LWW ?
      I havent seen him.
      Maybe Chavez sticks to him like glue n outlasts him over 15 rds, but I dont think he gets it done in 12.
      Maybe Oscar had enough firepower ?
      Maybe Kosta Tzu ?
      Maybe Manny ?
      Maybe Pernell has enough slick to boss him ?
      Maybe Benitez ?
      Shelling up, backing up & pulling faces isnt gonna hurt him so Im not even gonna mention Mayweather.
      Maybe Duran if he didnt skip LWW, I think the Duran who destroyed Polomino & beat Leonard over 15 rds might just be the man to beat him, but everyone else is a maybe.
      Pryor was something else.

      In the words of Mike bisping "their all on f**king steroids",but an asthma drink isn't going to help turn you into a boxer that good,it does keep the airways open, like vicks inhaler medicine,but still awesome fighters back when boxing was this good,then fighters this good all got took for granted.In todays dead fightgame they'd both be at the top no question about question it.

      Wow.. I thought, Pryor got doped at the 13th round but, no, Panama start asking for the mix bottle from round 3 that means Pryor was dopé all the fight. Alexis even like that almost knocked him out. Alexis a real legend!!!

      Trabajo mejor la esquina de pryor en las 2 peleas que tuvieron, un detalle importante la cantidad de grasa que le aplicaban a pryor lo considero una trampa y que no notó la esquina de Arguello.

      "Give me that drink that I mixed"–Panama Lewis. First time he said it was at the end of the 2nd round. Yout not supposed to mix anything with water. The fact that he had Pryor on something that early in the match means that they thought they were going lose without the help of some substance. 7:37

      When you watched a Pryor fight you always got your $$ worth. The guy threw down from the 1st to the last round, every fight. Arguello was a fantastic fighter, but Pryor was awkward and threw punches from all sorts of crazy positions. I don't see how anyone could prepare for Pryor, had he not got into drugs, he probably would have gone down as one of the best fighters ever. To me he (the Hawk) was one of the best.
