  1. I see a lot of commentators condemning Dest with no concern about his mental health. Clearly he’s dealing with something, and mental health issues are serious in professional and international sports. There’s a huge amount of pressure and stress on players, with commentators and fans giving them the business 24 hours a day. Stop being so glib and hurtful. Take a step back and maybe make a case to help the young man. Show some humanity.

  2. I don't know why Stevie keeps going on about Liverpool's defence regardless of how solid we've been this season (conceding close to the least goals this season – City have conceded 2 more – and tied for 2nd most cleansheets so far). I think he needs to drop that narrative, it's tiring.

  3. For France, it'll definitely be Mbappe. Henry's achievements are overshadowed by the fact that Zidane was the star player go that France team. Most people consider the 2018 world cup to be Mbappe's trophy

  4. No and he should lose that spot for acting like such a child on the world stage. Keeping him on would send a horrible message to every u19 player in America with hopes to play for the national squad one day.

Pocket that attitude and play the game. That should be how the US plays but it’s starting to look like every select premier league team in the country—untapped potential joggin around in really nice kits

  5. So Dest lost it.
What happened to the rest of the USMNT? Did all of them lose it also?
This shows the USMNT do not have the fortitude required to go far.
Again the Dest fiasco is very . . . Bizarre,
But the USMNT should have pulled themselves together

  6. As a Trinidadian it was total disrespect. It felt like he did it because we are a small nation, if it were any other big European team or the world cup I'm sure he would have been more disciplined.

  7. Can’t remember if it was game stevie was talking about but remember watching game where player headed ball and ref blew whistle as soon as headed and then scored so disallowed

  8. Dest's behavior was atrocious. Incredibly immature. Even worse is the fact the he was wrong about the ball staying inbounds. Everyone makes mistakes, but he was unable to control his emotions and it cost the US the game.

  9. I think regarding the question of if T&T can qualify for the World Cup.I think they have a shot just like every other nation.Yes,our football might not be in a good place Association wise. But which country doesn't have problems with their football administration.I would say this though. That the performances they have put out against teams like El Salvador,Guatemala and now the USA is really commendable and in football…anything is possible.

  10. Exactly! /// Sergino very likely has some mental health issues and no one is addressing it that I can see. Then again, the Dutch are very good about this sort of thing. I really hope he gets the help and support he needs.
