  1. Sell Dawson keep Diop younger and good back up with oggy now. Dawson we can get some cash still for . Diop can improve to his standards that he had with pelle. Now left back sell cress too longelo and Johnstone can cover then with a top left back coming in. Areola too and defence sorted .

  2. I wouldn’t rush into selling Diop. You just know the moment we do Ogbonna will break down with another injury in pre season.

At least get through pre season first.

  3. Aguerd and Diop will become the centre back pairing for Morocco! And Dawson still wants a homeward move to a northern club while his stock is high! So Dawson not Diop is for sale Geo!

  4. I’m struggling to see why this transfer makes sense. When it comes down to it we are swapping out Issa Diop – a perfectly solid CB – for what we hope is an upgrade in a part of the pitch where we have an abundance of riches.

Nobody knows whether this new lad will be an upgrade or not – some of these deals work and others don’t. The jury is out.

What we do know is that £30M of our transfer kitty has been thrown at solving a problem we don’t have. Will there now be enough funds to solve the problems we do have? Like back up for Michail Antonio and someone to play down the left side.

Let’s hope it works out but I have to say I thought Diop was solid most of the time and sometimes brilliant. Sad to see him go.

  5. Hopefully improves the defence and is quicker than Dawson, shore up the defence and get a decent goal scorer we certainly could kick on and should aim to better Man U and Arsenal next season tough but should be the aim

  6. We don’t need a striker, unless he will dramatically improve our current positions over the last two seasons. Aaaarrrggghhh! We are doing great at the moment. Areola is far more important.

  7. 2 things concern me, why the talk of selling diop I dont really understand why hes gotta go. And why is a centre back our primary target weve only got 1 striker and 2 cms plus the left back situation

  8. We're looking really strong at the back now with lots of options and plenty of back-up if we get injuries. Next the striker position!
