You get the sense that Kudus and Bowen will push eachother on both on the pitch and on the training ground.
Bowen should be our captain imo
Yeah Kudus and Bowen don't seem gel or have that telepathy. I think there's that bit of competition there but if they put that aside and have a partnership WestHam will be unstoppable!
Manager can only pick a side on merit, I never worried about what the player thought when I dropped them , if they wanted to know I was more than happy to tell em, I never liked it if a player was in different to being dropped, I’d rather have a row it showed they cared
We need to start fitting the right players in
For right games and tactics
Use the full squad
That worked last night for Arsenal
Moyes needs to change it up keep everyone interested
Must been red hot ball that ffs
Only game didn’t want pool away
Exactly my thoughts, Bowen was on another level last night, best game I’ve seen for months. Only thing I would add, if Paqueta got that cut and black eye, besides his petulance, could you imagine how many rolls around the pitch he would have made? Grow a pair, Bowen did last night with the majority of the team, we need that spirit, not Paqueta’s I’m better than this – not saying he wasn’t good last night, but some of his recent performances haven’t helped.
Antonio has been a great servant to the club, at his peak he was great to watch, strong and powerful player, that put fear in defenders, and has scored some great goals. But I’m sure his days are numbered now, unless Moyes keeps showing him misplaced loyalty, which I don’t think he will now considering his own job is on the line.Kudos, Bowen are top players any team would want and as much as I like Benrahma’s skill and eye for goal he lacks that pace and strength needed to get past players and balance the attack.Paqueta is a natural playmaker, he creates opportunities an ideal No. 10 playing just behind. I think Cornet is worth a go on that left side with his pace and his goal scoring . Still think Moyes needs an out and out striker to give the team more options. Mavropanos should definitely start with Aguerd after that game.
alan smith is a bitter twisted bias gooner, theres loads of pundits on motd/sky sports etc, dont listen to them anymore, its pathetic and sad😡👎⚒️⚒️⚒️
I think we need to calm down. We’ve been dross for the last 3 games, Bowen playing upfront isn’t a new phenomenon and we have no Alvarez and Paqueta at the weekend. Brentford will hand us a hiding and normal service is resumed.
Alan Smith saying that made himself sound like a right see you next tuesday
Time was up years ago. Jokers gave him new contract 😂😂😂
Geo, are you in a caravan with Father Ted? 😅
Antonio’s time was up 2 season’s ago, but it’s not his fault that we’ve been terrible at recruiting a new striker. And while I think Bowen can be effective at #9, I don’t think it’s a great idea to move him there full time. It’ll take 5 years off his career length going up against some of the CB’s in this league. Regardless, Kudus and Bowen need to be the starters and Antonio needs to come off the bench. As for our CB’s, Dinos and Aguerd need to be the 1st pairing. Yes they’ll make mistakes, but they both have recovery speed. If Zouma makes the same mistake he’s out of the play. The flip side to their inexperience is that they’re both good on the ball, they both can pass well, they can both dribble, and they have pace. Dinos is strong and good in the air, Nathan not so much. All these attributes hugely benefit Moyes’s system. It means we move the ball more quickly on a break, we can press a little higher, we can pull the back line forward a little to close the gap between the back line and midfield. Moyes needs to make the change permanent regardless of whatever mistakes initially come. And as much as I love Zouma, I’d take that Saudi money for him now.
So we offer Antonio a new contract so he can sit on the bench, this club operates in a unique way
My trouble is moyes has taken any pleasure/delight out of WHU winning games like this out of me. I’m so negative about moyes I just want him to go. I look for reasons to dislike him. So while i was watching us up 3-0 i didnt get the endorphins normally associated with beating a rival. His style of football and the way he handles the interviews just depresses me because i know, he knows, we shall not be relegated this year. That means he has a bigger swagger and ego. Just think what someone with modern ideas could do with this team.🥲
This obsession with continually choosing & comparing players over one another really doesn't help, if you are trying to build a harmonious squad mentality inside a regular, European
qualifying team. Healthy competition between players can work in your favour but everybody must feel their worth, if we are going to move forward as a club. Each player has a quality
to give to suite different styles of games & that's exactly what we want. Saying one is better than the other is just silly, just like saying one (imaginary) manager is better than our Dave!
Hate to say it, but hope a Saudi team buy zouma. He has no longevity and he looks like he's suffering. Need a young defender and a left sided defender to replace zouma and oggy.
Would love to see cornet bowen kudus front 3
Geo he is not going to drop his captain
Geo where do you buy youre fred perry tops especially online thanks
Play like that we can be top 6 get rid of some players
Alvarez was basically out there kicking people….😅😅..
Moyes didn't look very happy after the Win over Arsenal…😮. Perhaps someone else was coaching the team..😅
Unfortunately I think we’ll always have it with Aguerd, always prone to silly mistakes. However, I think he makes up for it with those long range accurate passes and those moments of brilliance like we saw yesterday. It’s one of those “you take the bad with the good” 😅
Our attack looked a million times better, would love Antonio to be an impact sub moving forward should we need him.
Agree with you about Kudus and Mavropanos. For West Ham to develop a more possession based game they will need to bring in more players with passing ability, mobility and a bit pace – in place of the ageing Zouma, Antonio, Soucek and Coufal – who are all starting to look like weak links. Both Aguerd and Mavropanos can pass and carry the ball, which is what you want in centre-backs.
Up front, with Paqueta threading passes through for the incisive runs of Kudus and Bowen, West Ham will always carry a goal threat, but here´s a question for you Geo: should the top priority in January still be a new number nine? Or, would it give the team a better balance to buy a pacey left winger and play a false nine with Bowen and Kudus interchanging? This seems to be in Moyes thoughts too, with the pursuit of McNeill and Barnes.
Bowen won't be able to play as a striker all the time. The teams that allow us to play that don't sit back suits Bowen AND Antonio.
Moyes biggest headache is what to do against sides that defend in numbers.. Because bowen down the middle I doubt will be a solution. But time will tell
Giving away possession easily is a massive problem even kudos paqueta aguerd all guilty but playing kudus from the start is a must he is so positive and direct play antonio we play with 10 men
My thoughts exactly Geo,two partnerships stood out for me Bowen and Kudus up top,Arsenal couldn’t cope with.Dinos and Aguerd centre half pairing, kept Arsenal at bay, well almost perfectly until last minute.
Thank you for calling out Salty comments from Alan pro Arsenal co commentator,Ref Kudus and his first touch, yes had Saka done that Sky would put that on a repeat loop for a month.
Watched it again and again, that first touch was ridiculous but with a touch of back spin that meant the ball didn’t run away from him.
Why the players don"t feed Benrahma when he is in a better position to score , and every fans here are considering he is already out of the front line . If it is the case please let him go in january
Sack this Dinosaurus , Brentford will have no mercy for him
I love Kudus and I want him playing RW. But I'm sorry but Alan Smith was right. The first touch, watch it back he tried taking it with his left foot but bounced off the inside of his right foot. It was fortunate. But the finish was absolutely intentional.
We bullied Arsenal, only 2 years since they totally bullied us. Shows how recruitment has improved us (physically) massively
Antonio is finished and has been for 2 years … yes he might be our top scorer BUT that doesn't make him a footballer
The game is the reason I want Moyes out because we have the players to play attacking football. It's taken Moyes 9PL games to start kudus. If the light is not switched on in Moyes head then it never will be. Another big point is we don't need to play 3 defensive midfielders. Moyes out
Thanks for taking the time to put up this vid while you're on holidays
At his age the way he is expected to play is for a 25 year old, he has been great
Yes it was last season there is a good few players now that need moving on
