    Edit (efter 1. halvleg) : Vi ses i Kastrup imorgen. 😕 – komplet idé-forladt.

  7. A disaster. Players without desire and imprecise. Worst danish team since Euro 2000. They made it. Two weeks in Qatar, and now hollydays. Terribly dissapointed. Hjulmand good bye.

We saw 3 games in a row where the Danish national team were a shadow of themselves, no doubt about it. In a way it makes me proud they are so Danish. They KNEW they were playing in stadiums covered in the blood of 6500 dead workers and that does not sit well with Danes. I am proud that Danes that normally travel in large numbers to EM/WM stayed away from Qatar. Just 2000 tickets were sold to Danes in those 3 games. The "extra player" on the stands thus also were absent.
There were more problems. The player protests were effectively hushed with sports oriented threats and "with threats of direct liability" towards Fifa meaning our players could potentially be given cards AND sued for more than their life earnings. That type of censorship and threats from their own interest organisation! In Denmark the population largely agreed to agree on the compromise that we would follow on tv in our own homes and from there give our full support. Unfortunately our press/media, did not read the room and went totally Trumpian and no matter what the players had done or did, they just went into a couple of wolfes smelling blood, mode, and it has been ugly. Only the day before first match did the Danish player organisation´s management come out with some sort of "shot at us" not the team, message but that was far to late. As a Dane I cant help but speculate if Qatar´s bloodmoney reached them as well.

You cant be expected to deliver anything close to a top performance if you are being unfairly attacked from outside and abandoned from within. Their performance where unbearable throughout but I wont really blame them.

If you look today, other teams that have been in the forefront like the Belgium and German also grossly underperformed. I will excuse them, for the same reasons, and conclude that the REAL learning and answer to this full blown embarrassing disastrous path Fifa now have proved are their standard HAVE to be that all responsible nations, preferably all European teams in one go, are to leave Fifa. Look also today how Japan got a goal after the ball clearly were out the backline. If Fifa can be bought by Qatar then why not the referees, players, VAR room etc. ALL joy sucked of of the game because the trust are gone long time ago. Japan have not protested and Japan´s spectators showed up, gifts for Japan!

We cannot allow bribes, just remember that POOtin bought it before Qatar, and nations without football traditions or basic respect for human rights can get these events. SO, however bad Denmark and many of the nations protesting have performed we should remember why and maybe have some pride in that. Our values actually defines us. Our societies are like they are because of our values. OUR stadiums are built in open market economies, based on money coming from the joy of the game and none have been harshly exploited or died from their construction. Football, footballers, spectators and all with a conscience needs a new transparent and democratic organisation. WE need to leave Fifa when this tournament are over. All at the same day!
