I am sick of the media defending his backwards sideways passing boring football. He picks the wrong players in his selections that don't deserve to be there and there are others that are going to play for other countries. This generation of players are going to be wasted thanks to him.
Southgate is is plum and so are those defending him. He's a hypocrite, a liar and a sub par manager that would struggle in the championship.

I agree when it goes belly up Southgate will get the blame. He’s not the only reason why England still haven’t won a major trophy in 57 years. He will join the list of all the other managers who have left the job since Sir Alf and even he was sacked. There is a reason why they call it the impossible job.
Southgate is literally fuelling the fire by being stubborn and choosing players that aren't deserving of being picked/started

It’s not southgate’s responsibility to know who will replace Kane long term. It’s southgate’s job to pick the best players now. These players may even change in the summer. The best in-form players that can produce. Players form will dip and rise all the time so the team should look a little different all the time. If Watkins is the best back up now then that’s sorted. You can only pick the best available at the time. It might be someone else is the summer. You take the best the clubs teams can produce.
What’s worse is he is picking players like Rashford, Henderson and Phillips that have no form and using them as main players (not even back up). And pretty much guaranteed then a spot providing they can walk. Generally the rest of the team is good but putting these players in to start dumbs them down and leave the team disadvantaged for the kick off.
Dean Saunders talking about injuries and pre season tours is such BS – it really doesn’t matter where you travel to on pre season that has nothing to do with injuries.
Southgate goes against his own words all the time. "I'll only include those who consistently play for their clubs" – Maguire? Phillips?. He never picks players on form whilst always plays his favorites. So yeah Gareth deserves all the stick he gets and will not be liked.
Only way you counter the injuries is stop internationals during the domestic season and have them during the summer.
September – April = Domestic season
May – June = Internationals
July = Rest
August = Pre-season
Saunders is the Welsh Southgate.
The too much stick thing for Southgate tbh he should be getting more stifk than the stick he’s been getting 2-0 at home against Malta basically against like part time plumbers electricians against a team that in my lifetime will never qualify for any tournament ever should be playing better than that and be ruthless scoring goals that Southgate ain’t good enough ti get this team doing whilst France shaft 14 past Gibraltar they were ruthless whilst England aren’t

Game against Malta having already qualified doesn't matter for crying out loud! Beating Italy 3-1 in the last game did. Surely you judge mangers on meaningful games when they play their strongest teams? England won their group comfortably & unbeaten. Hardly failure

The man has Saudi League Jordan Henderson and Marcus Rashford who in his worst form of his career arguably, but not Raheem Sterling who is playing well and is one of Englands’ best performers over the years. He deserves the criticism.

Maybe he does get a lot of stick. But he also gets way too much praise from the likes of Deane. Southgate picks out of form players and loses against the big teams every time.
Saunders is having a laugh, Southgate gets some stick it's miniscule compared to past England Managers (Taylor, Robson)..In the case of Taylor he deserved it…Southgate is worthy of every criticism purely based on losing us the Euros final which is a game we should have won easily at wembley..For me he should have gone after that but he's hanging around like a bad smell
Dean is 100% right about needless pre season extensive tours. Annoying how Natalie has to play devils advocate and be the apologist for the clubs. Even if its deliberate it’s annoying.
