Mateo Kovacic is the latest guest on the Official Man City Podcast.
The Croatia international has already enjoyed a career most footballers can only dream of.
At 29, he has represented Dinamo Zagreb, Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea before moving to Manchester earlier this year.
During that time, the midfielder has won an incredible 18 major honours including four Champions League trophies.
That’s not to mention a runners-up finish at the 2018 World Cup before coming third in last year’s edition.
Now he’s part of a City squad seeking to follow in the footsteps of our historic Treble winning campaign.
And he’s made a strong start to life at the Etihad, playing 14 times as City have set the early pace in the Premier League and guaranteed safe passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Despite all of his prior experience, Kovacic admits in this podcast that he’s learning every day from working with Pep Guardiola.
Sitting down with hosts Rob Pollard and Paul Dickov, he recounts tales from his spells with some of Europe’s biggest clubs and what it was that attracted him to Manchester.
Then he delves deep into how life at City helps get the best out of footballers and his hopes for his time in sky blue.
It’s an episode not to be missed!

Why is no one talking about this man celebration when cole palmer scored that penalty,,we saw that 💯💯💯
Great player Kovacic and he is having ever improving performances now. Paul Dickov is a City legend so that's a nice bonus. Come on City! ⚽⚽⚽👍👍👍
City wasted money for Kovacic.
Why did he celebrate Chelsea’s equaliser??
Kova's got a genuinely photogenic smile wth 😭 so does Alvarez. Such a humble, egoless guy despite what he's achieved. Always has this nostalgic, appreciative tone towards his past endeavours even under the extreme pressures he had to be in, then a highly positive outlook going into his new one. Great baller, wonderful person; hope he achieves even more success with the light blues. 💙
The Croatian Sensational For Mateo Kovacic.
Snakey Balkan

He has slid practically seamlessly into the best team in the world very assured on the ball and always appears to have time and space on the ball only top quality players do this! 💙 MCFC OK! 💙
question did he cheer when chelsea scored the 4th we need to know
i have a hard time digesting the logic that says Kovacic is defending Chelsea😴Everyday he is with his team mate 🤷
I watch because I love football, but my goodness City have amazingly many good looking players. I don’t mind that at all 😇
You are actually WORKING in the entertainment industry. It is your JOB. Treat it like it is. Behave better with your fans because they are actually paying your salary. I am talking to everyone in the football world.
Kova’s a great player and seems like a nice guy.
