Second string defenders clearly too slow in this Tottenham side.
Bissouma was the creative outlet and he didn’t do his job. Ange can’t kick the ball for him.
Whilst several players were under par, Dier is always going to be a liability now as opposing teams know about his leg speed or lack thereof. They were playing the longball up the middle regularly knowing that Dier cannot turn and chase. This pulled other defenders out of position as they tried to compensate which created space in other parts of our defense. He was too slow even when he had the ball. Dier was a i/10 because even when he had the ball and he seemed bereft of ideas. Vicario was worth more points than you gave him.
I think Bissouma is just too conscious of the yellows. Hes been shackled since Luton. It will probably be better after his suspension.

Bissouma played the entire match like he was trying to avoid getting a fifth yellow in order to be available for the "tougher" Villa and City matches, and he ended up getting it anyway. For all his strength and hold up play, Kulu has become shot-shy. He's choosing to pass instead of taking shots on most occasions, and in the process losing the ball.
I'd have given Vicario MoTM. Not because he was brilliant but because he didnt really play badly.
I can't get on board the Ben Davies train. The whole defence backed off and relied on blocks and clearances. Nobody was proactive and nobody played the higher line and pressed. Davies and Dier played a huge part of that.

I think the team seemed tired from the Monday game. Too many players were mediocre.
In reality all the positivity and rah rah stuff can't replace the talent they've lost. The Spurs hopes are that they can somehow survive until they are at full strength. The Chelsea game will go down as the game that ruined the season. This is why fans wanted more signings for depth.
This is what the Spurs used to do. Losing or drawing late in games and not holding leads and breaking hearts.
With dier , emerson , play kulu in midfield , Johnson on right ore as twin with Son, and stop that playing in the box because dier is suspect and than Davis try to cover and don't concentrate on his work .

It was the players on the park . Bissouma was only a 2 at best. Sarr a 4. PEH a 4.
When we play Villa our middle 3 should be Bentancur, Deki and Sarr. Play Lo Celso on the left up front

Even without the mistakes at the end Dier was getting turned all game. Then jogged back pointing shouting at everyone else to cover for him. The guys arrogance is staggering.
Davies covered him all game. Even Davies zoned out at the end.
