I Respect this guy a great manager… but when they were praising him for playing with 9 men…. like he invented the formation he played had to play with 9 players. It was the excact formation Liverpool had too play with when they went down to 9 men. Compact the midfield & try to counter. But he was praised for being a genius. But Klopp was the first manager I had seen play like that. Maybe Iam wrong. 🤔
How are refs undermined exactly? They screw up week in week out and are backed by the FA everytime. Who gets fined if anyone speaks out? Players, managers or refs.
It’s because he comes from a country where the major sports (Rugby & Cricket) have ‘respect for the refs’ ingrained from the day they start playing. Look at rugby in the Uk for example. Players aren’t even allowed to talk to the refs, only the team captains can approach them and even then they’re taught to respect them as if it’s their father! I mean, the real issue with football players in the Uk is they have a distinct lack of respect full stop. They get too much money too soon and think they can buy their way out of anything. Something earned is something cherished, whereas something given has no real value. Until we stop giving these young working class guys enough money to buy a 100 grand car at 17 years of age, they’ll never learn the true value of humility and respect.

The officials need to know the rules and apply them correctly though, and a lot of the time football referees make so many mistakes. You don't see it so much in other sports. It doesn't help that a lot of footballers also dive/fake injury and cheat too. The game is a mess and one of the few games were cheats get rewarded, even if they get found out after the game. Officials should be able to retrospectively give punishments to players that are found to be cheating, then players would be less likely to do it
But he’s not mad at his players that got sent off? 😂 what was the ref supposed to do ? Give them a hug instead of what they deserved because of the foul? 😂
