  1. Jovic is not a bad player but rather, like KCM… it does so many things that many midfielders or strikers seem subpar. KCM have the right qualities & balance to compliment each other, while Benzema does not just score but he moves around all over the place to set up play, he's the nr.10 & nr.9 in one… sadly, Jovic could never be a nr.9 & a nr.10 in 1 go. Real after Cr7 developed in such a way that certain players have multiple roles or multiple ways of playing.
Benzema's playstyle is as big or even bigger influence than Cr7, thus Jovic a natural nr.9 felt underwhelming. This would happen to any other nr.9. The best thing for Real Madrid is to do a Camavinga 2.0 for the ST back up, a young teen that is an immense talent, mold him to learn from Benzema & develop him to the point he can become a rotational player to give rest to Benz, so he can be fresh for important games. Like Camavinga with KCM.

  2. Real only buy players they will plug and play. Unless you are the complete player at 21, or the team has a massive gap in your position, you shouldn’t go to Madrid so young.

  3. Listen, Man United might not thank me but get the contract out, put it on the table. Let him sign it, let him write whatever numbers he wants to put on there, given what he's done since he's come in. TEN HAG'S (Ole 4.0) at the wheel, man. He's doing it. He's doing his thing. MAN UNITED ARE BACK!!!

  4. Ali talks so much ignorance, Luka's Failure is solely Real Madrid's fault. Those real football fans would remember that Jovic was brought in during a time when RMA were of the notion that Karim Benzema wasn't the man adequate enough to lead them into the future and Jovic wasn't brought in as a guy to play alongside Benzema as Ali said, now was it a case where madrid didn't have a plan, they did, he was literally brought in to replace Benzema. Because back then EVERYONE including ESPN were speaking harsh on Benzema after ronaldo left saying he wasnt adequate to lead the team and that he had to be replaced. NO ONE Expected benzema to raise his level to the point it is at now. Now Ali and ESPN speak as though they never doubted Benzema for a second, these guys are shameless.

  5. You can't expect players like him and Mariano to star in the short time they get played. Rod and Vini only shone when they got game time. Same with Valverde. If he had more time, he'd shine, mind you — he's to blame because he stymied his career hoping Kareem would give him a shot

  6. Keep in mind hes only 24. Hes still a kid. Agree, he wasnt ready for the expectations of real madrid. Similar to Anelka. I also dont think he plays the kind of ball real madrid plays. Hes more like a Lewa than a Benzema. Hes a target man.

  7. incredible! this dude was the talk of the town a few years ago. ignored every club under the sun to go to madrid. smh

  8. People need to understand, Benzema was also not this version of Benzema for so many years, he was also not a renowned striker and was quite underrated and played second fiddle to Ronaldo and even higuain when he came to Madrid. Up until last season or one season ago, it's fair to say that people outside of Spain never really considered to be the best striker in the world. He could have been sold by Real Madrid many times during his career as well, but Benzema always had something that all the managers at Madrid always chose him as the striker, even if he wasn't scoring so many goals. They always liked what he did on the field even if he didn't score goals. Jovic didn't have that factor that Benzema had that kept him at Madrid for so many years.

  9. Expectations are so high at Madrid that it’s terrifying for the most player… Madrid don’t usually develop players like what barca, Liverpool usually do… Madrid and I’m some sense bayern always want player to be ready to deliver as soon as word go… it’s not wish to join Madrid young unless you are from Brazil or from Madrid itself

  10. I think Luka is more sorry that he came to Madrid than Madrid who hired him, you have a video where Bezema tells his teammates not to pass the ball to Luka, he should have left that club a long time ago

  11. Espn need to fire that sick dude who thinks he's a woman if I turned up at work saying in a giraffe id get fired so why doesn't he?????

  12. Not exactly a free.
Jovic is still earning the same amount as he was earning at Madrid which will be more than double compared to everyone else at Fiorentina. What Fiorentina are saving in transfer fees they will have to pay in wages and there is also a sell on clause.

  13. He is an elite striker. The problem is he was never given a proper chance at Real. When he was on the pitch you can see class. Real players just didn't want to give him the ball. They were so lucky to win CL, ugliest win ever in the final with 1 shot on goal. Just you wait until the World Cup to see how good Jovic is when he plays for Serbia. We will destroy those peasants from Switzerland.

  14. If you’re wondering, ESPN is owned by Disney. And Disney is gone full “woke”. This is why you’re seeing a man, who thinks he is a woman, on your screen.

  15. A player can retire any player.
If u are good enough, you'll play.
    Messi retired d great ronaldinho.
    mbappe retired ibra
If jovic had scored 30goals in his debut, Madrid would have been forced to accomode him tactically.

  16. Ale is really downplaying the talent of Luka Jovic, most likely because he doesn't know much about him from the time before joining Real Madrid. Jovic was a beast in the Bundesliga and basically the complete target man that most teams would pay huge money to get. Jovic could absolutely become world class like Benzema, had he just gotten 2 games in a row more often. Problem at Madrid was that they bought Jovic just for prestige and did not know how to use him in their system. They style of play did not fit with a player like that and this became the downfall of Luka Jovic early potential. However, I think he will be great in Serie A where they really play for their target men up front. Fiorentina is the perfect place for him and they play the football similar to what Frankfurt did!

  17. A few things…Mijatovic advocated for him to go to RM. Benzema was never going to be a bench player for this guy. Not to mention he was reportedly flying to his home country every week. Rumours are the squad didn't like him.

  18. Jovic will find success in Italy. Look at players like Tammy Abraham, Giovanni Simeone and Gerard Deulofeu. They've had great seasons in Serie A and Fiorentina has a decent squad too. He'll get some good service from Ikone, Torreira and might partner well with Cabral.

  19. Jovic was just super unlucky with his shots, idk most times he kept hitting the crossbar or the post, which hurts more than missing outright. Otherwise he just didnt impress when he got chances to play and Ancelloti did not rely on him at all.

  20. Jovic is a really good player, believe me. He was great in Germany but thing is that the problem was Benzema, he was just in unbelievable form. But Jovic is still a good player, he will do well there. Fiorentina got a good young team, really good technical players, Italiano is a great coach and he can get great asssist from Ikone and Saponara. Plus he plays in Europe and Fiorentina can win the Conference league for sure

  21. When Jovic first came to Real , Zidane was the manager and it was him that asked for the Serbian. Madrid started couple games with Jovic and Benzema in front with 4-4-2 formation. It didn't work and during the games Jovic had to be was subbed off so we could go 4-3-3 and win the matches. I watch every single game of Real and can surely tell that from the start he played like doesn't care about the game. He was hiding, not wanting the ball and 80% of his touches were bad and the ball was lost. The way i see it – if you are Real Madrid player, you have to be ready to tear the ground apart and run until you can't stand anymore, to show at least you have the desire prove yourself. Jovic never did that or showed any interest whatsoever. We was given enough chances to be a starter, but he blew it big time. Maybe the problem is in his head .. we will never know, but the best thing for him and Real was to be transferred out of the club. The bad part is that we lost sooo much money. I m sure he will do good in Firenze, but we will never be able to have back big amount of money for him. Still we have 50% from his rights so will see…
