I honestly thought that Arsenal fans are overhyping him up. But watching him makes me change my mind.
His composure on the ball and in tight spaces is frightening. Can easily play DM.

Very gifted & intelligent. Can sometimes make a blunder but recovers extremely fast.
He can dribble, tall, strong, quite technical, and has decent pace for such big guy. I reckon he can play as a Striker and do well.
He brings calmness to the team
In this season, his join is the best reinforce for Arsenal.
White is playing as RB, also Tomiyasu is playing as LB as well. his join makes many good change in the team for it.
I’ve been supporting Arsenal for a very long time, The most outstanding CB we had in History was Tony Adams during George Graham’s time. But We never really had a top prospect who could be “The best in the world” in his position. Saliba has that potential, I hope he signs a new contract, Such a fine player at the age of 21, specially doing it in the PL it aint no joke. He’s the real deal.
