For me that 21/22 season Tomiyasu waa our best player and we he got injured we struggled.

The odds, of 2 Jesus' in the match and all of them were Man City players.
People forgot Arteta did same tactic when Tavarez still here but Tavarez didnt work out. Then brought in Timber unfortunately he is injured.
The different between these 4 players
Timber & Tomi able to cover both attack & defense but Zinchenko & Tavares cant. Plus now Arteta has more confidence with Rice on the pitch.
And.. this is not new. Watch Ake from Man City. Arteta learnt from his master.
Arteta should start using zinchenko more in the midfield alongside Declan Rice, he should take the place of xhaka starting ahead of havatz

Before Saliba, Tomi was my favorite 1v1 defender. Interesting that we start with 4 natural CBs in the game 😅
I've never seen him look so good going forward. Surely he's not going to be able to do that when he plays on the right.
I now really would start Tomi over Zinchenko just because he is more balanced and stable on both sides of the pitch. And I feel like Tomi is starting to play like what Timber could have been. Kudos to him for keep improving!!

I keep telling ppl Tomiyasu is an Elite defender….. I think after Saliba and Gabriel he is the third best pure defender we have.
