It’s about playing style. Cech was the best keeper in the world at some point. It doesn’t mean Pep would have chosen him over Valdez for Barca. It’s all about which type of keeper suits the style of play the manger want!
Should of bought in someone like Sanchez (Brighton/Chelsea’s) he’s a good keeper that would give competition and motivation for ramsdale but wouldn’t be forcing him out
I think this season for Arsenal when it comes to transfers is worse than last year. They got players they didn't need at all that made them look worse than before except rice. Havertz and Raya were so unnecessary.
It is only a big o thing on social media, he’s made some mistakes yes but hasn’t cost us that much yet, so I’d like for us to stick with raya, if he doesn’t improve in the next 2-3 games then we should give Rambo a shot
Exactly my thoughts as well. Raya offers something else, primarily with the longer distribution, but I'm not convinced that he is the better keeper overall. And as you say, even if he is, I don't think he he a big enough improvements to throw Ramsdale out.
I like that Arteta can be ruthless sometimes, but in this case I am far from convinced as of now.
An example of Arteta and his outsized ego. He has developed all Arsene’s stubbornness without the winning bit to go with it. He’s building they say- so how many years of building will there be before he achieves the only currency in the game- silverware?!
