  1. The thing is, one of the prime reasons VAR was introduced was to massively clamp down on penalty box wrestling and yet it’s been the complete opposite and so players have continued to do it without punishment.

Yes Rodri went down easily but we’ve got to the point now that if you don’t make a display no one one is going to notice, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was still a nailed on penalty, all day and night.

If your complaint is “oh well then if that’s a penalty then there’ll be 6 penalties every game”, well good, if that’s what it takes to stop players doing it.

  2. So there are going to be 20+ penalties per game now. Or does it just depend on which team is playing? Refs love the man City group for some reason

  3. The Maguire one is way more of a pen than the Rodri one. The Rodri one you can see he’s flopped to the floor. The Maguire one you can see Maguire’s hugging him.

That Antony one’s a straight red. No intention to get the ball. A straight swipe.

  4. It happens every game, teams pulling and tugging one another in the box and it is seldom never given. There's no way that is a penalty because he's right they now have to give penalties everytime it happens now. So are we talking 50 maybe 80 penalties a weekend because that's the standards now set. Otherwise if it isn't then it's proof that there is indeed an anti Man Utd agenda. The ref and VAR have somewhat screwed themselves with that decision because now they have to keep giving them everytime it happens. This is why footballs ruined.

  5. Andy Robertson got a straight red for something very similar a couple of years ago against Spurs when he kicked Emerson Royal. Anthony should definitely have got a red card
