  1. Onana – harry scored the goal, all credit to him.
Maguire – i am very proud of myself over the last 6-12 months.
Harry played well but he just doesn't strike me as someone who would take responsibility

  2. It's interesting to compare the physical structure of the modern keepers to the likes of Schmeichel. Watching videos of Schmeichel,he looked to be physically bigger, stronger, bigger shoulders compared to modern keepers. He looked agile, turning his huge frame in any direction in a split second. What's also interesting is how goalkeepers used to catch balls before compared to the modern "pushing the ball away". Keepers would very often come and successfully catch corners, now it's pretty rare. It's like a totally different style of goalkeeper.

  3. Now thats a big character
After gala game i thought maybe he needs a few game out of the spot light but man was i mistaken
Took it all like a man
I think a lot of utd players should look up to him

  4. De Gea save against Arsenal & Van Persie at OT made him a Hero and changed his life. Hopefully, this is the start of things to come for Onana. #GGMU

  5. He's genuinely one of the best players I've seen put on that United jersey in recent times at Old Trafford. It's no suprise he was the only Manchester United player in the current squad nominated for the Ballon Dor this year. Every player goes through rough patches, when you're a goalkeeper they're amplified by a 100x. Having played professionally myself I understand that. I've watched this man play the game for almost a full decade now and even played against André at Youth level, I encourage people to build an opinion on a footballer over 8 months and another over 8 year and not 8 games. Nowadays he's the spearhead for the modern goalkeeper, what Neuer was to the game around a decade ago. Appreciate him while he's here, whether it works out or not this guy's a special player.

+ Listen making errors which lead to goals is never something you can overlook and every goalkeeper makes them from Neuer to De Gea ,Courtious and Onana. It's all about how often they make those mistakes and when they do. De Gea cost us how man finals, semi finals and quarter finals over the years? Onana drags teams through them as we've seen all throughout the years.

Don't overlook the fact that he's playing in a system which is completely opposite to the one in which he excells in usually also. Maguire, Eriksen, Bruno, Dalot don't want the ball in high pressure situations and neither does Ten hag want them to recieve the ball there anymore. Onana's main attribute consists of being the best around in the first phase of build up play and beating the first line of press, sometimes the second with one pass. yet he's very clearly been told not to invite pressure onto a lot of those players. As we evolve, he will. The best is still yet to come, be patient and stick with him and don't forget just how poor the last few years of De Gea actually we're to. From pea rollers going in from 30 yards, to never challenging for a corner or set piece or just a cross in general in over a decade, to the ability of not being able to play a 5 or 30 yard pass consistently (which was ridiculous at times), to his weak wrists and how much he would turn over the ball in key areas after we'd open up to play, to being high pressed by teams who were fighting relegation last season and not being able to get out our box to saving about 5 penalties total in the decade he spent at the club. Loved David when he was here but his time had long gone.

  6. Really happy for Onana and Maguire in this game.

Please hear me out, good works could never save men or persuade God. Our works could never cover our sins. As the prophet Isaiah said "our good works are like filthy rags". It might sound strange at first, but please listen 🙏🏼🙏🏽 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." – Romans 8:38-39

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." – John 3:16

What we must do is turn from our sinful ways (repent) and put your faith and trust in the saviour Jesus Christ 🙌🏽🙌🏼

  7. Good head on his shoulders, happy for him, he was brilliant at Ajax, preferred Handanovic to him at Inter but I do wish him all the best in his career going forward.

  8. Not trying to play devil's advocate but the penalty kick should've been repeated because there is a camera angle which shows that Onana's feet were off the line just before the penalty was taken.

  9. This is the onana the world knows the one the world fell in love with he is world class the confidence for that penalty save nerves of steel praises others when he won us the game literally with that amazing save and blames himself only when he or the team is at fault what a humble human being what a role model
