  1. This is a fascinating watch. It’s a massive feather in our cap that we were able to outsmart a South American team

  2. Reckon Joe Gauci of Adelaide United can match Andrew's capacity to save penalties…. hope he get's to join the boys in Qatar. Reckon he has the potential to reach the heights of Schwarzer, Bosnich and Ryan.

  3. Redmayne's substitution reminds me of The Netherlands goalie Tim Krul when he was used as a replacement goalkeeper just for penalties at the 2014 FIFA World Cup against Costa Rica in their quarter final match. That itself was also a masterstroke by the Dutch team, in which Krul was a hero coming off the bench. Now the world knows about Redmayne. It's no secret now he maybe used just for the same purpose as he did in our final FIFA World Cup qualifying match. To save our bacon in goal, and become a penalties hero/specialists. Other teams at this World Cup will disect Redmayne's penalties, shall we even be good enough for the Round of 16 (if we reach this far). It's possible. We have to defend like no tomorrow and score at least (preferably) two goals for each match in the group stages (if we're winning, and not concede, for that extra piece of mind). The French are known to be inconsistent (good at one World Cup and not the next), the Danes are a formidable force and Tunisia are a pretty good African side.

  4. Postecoglou and it appears Arnold too show attention to every detail. Well done to the Aussies for being so well prepared !
We have to admire that our preparation is better than some other teams of the world !

  5. It's a great sign if we reach Round 16 that we have our penalties well drilled – the players took their shots amazingly – the best set of penalties I've ever seen !

  6. Absolutely great insight into the process, dedication, hard work. Awesome discussion & sharing your insights. Thanks for all your commitment to the cause. Thank you Socceroos.

  7. congrats australia good luck at world cup peru played its worst match from all process to qatar 2022 , from beating ecuador , paraguay , chile , , colombia , to loose againts australia even they couldnt score to peru in the 120 , peru was playing the worst football that a peruvian fan could see , mentality australia won the match and thats the cause

caoch sends last man with no experience to kick in the one of most important moments with big responsability andhe missed

  8. if he does the same during the world cup his value will go up not just the learning he will get from any clubs the way he was a goalkeeper

  9. This John Crawley has made a huge mistake and cost Aust the opening match against France . To not pick Mitch Langerak was the most ridiculous decision ever . Why would you pick a goalie not playing regular football over Japans best keeper who was in form . As a goalie with a lot of experience and with the best goalkeeper we have ever had Schwartzer stating exactly the same thing . Crawley should be sacked for this ridiculously stupid decision . This will also cost us in the next 2 games as well .
