Goodness gracious smh. I hope this isn't true. If it is we need a new left back ASAP! He's been out of form anyway and Spinazola still is average in my opinion. We need a left footed player in that left back spot! Borna Sosa would've been amazing but we didn't make a move for him. There are still guys out there. The young guy from Netherlands Owen Wijndal I think would be a great signing for us in January. He's got great speed, dribbling, leadership (he was captain of AZ Alkmaar), crossing, and contributes with a couple goals too. He's 23 so many years ahead of him great long term investment for Roma.
I've seen us linked to Lucas Piton from Brazil he's okay too, just doesn't have great speed.
These rumors could possible make sense of why Zalewski has been out of it. Mentally he doesn't look like himself and yeah his form has dropped.
Worse case scenario if we can't get a left back now. Simon what about the young guy Joao Costa the young Portuguese from the Primavera. I know he is really a winger, but he is a natural left footed player. I wonder if Jose can convert him to a left back at least just for this season? I think that can be a good option, he has speed and dribbling and great at assisting too.

Regarding Zalewski, I’ll bet anything (pun intended) that it is NOT true that he bet himself betting getting a yellow card in that Salernitana game for 2 reasons: 1) If you bet on yourself to get a yellow, you don’t wait until the 94th minute to get it. What if the ref blows the whistle at the 93rd minute? What if the ball never comes to his part of the field for the last 5 minutes of the game? No chance he doesn’t get his yellow by the 80th or 85th minute if he made that bet. 2) If Zalewski wanted to make easy money on someone getting a yellow card, all he had to do was bet on Mancini getting one. 💵
Simo, just an fyi, most gambling addicts don’t do it for the money, they do it for the adrenaline rush.
