After Eddie Guerrero was released from the WWF in November 2001, he embarked on a short but very important period of his career — his time in indies such as ROH and IWA Mid-South. This chronicles the time when he came back from the bottom, cleaned himself up and started making his way back to the top. Enjoy!

Hopefully you've enjoyed this vid about this little period in Eddie's career — there's a lot of gems just from these 6 months, and they're worth seeking out here on YouTube. The channels where these matches can be located can be found through the video, and at the vid's end.
6:21 every time i hear the name of his book, it makes me think about it being the autobiography of a vampire.
If you want to find that IWC match between Guerrero and Punk, you should find Justin Plummer (owner of IWC) and see if it's in the back catalog. Hopefully, it's not lost media for IWC.
I was at that match in Houston there was several big stars at that show I went because of Eddie there was him Jerry Lawler and one more but cannot remember who else.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant Eddie documentary from you Kim!
Man I remember the last match I saw Eddie in Indianapolis. The echos of his chops still ring fondly in my mind!! VIVA LA RAZA!!!
This is when I met him. I was training with homicide at the time
Eddie and Punk had some great matches
I never knew Eddie has this run. Not only is this video a thorough examination, you did such a good job I couldn't stop watching once I started. Awesome work.
A little background on Mike Thunder: originally from Oklahoma, wrestled primarily in North Texas; promotions he worked for were NWA Southwest, PCW & TCW/XCW.. He’s a former NWA World Jr Hwt Champion & in 2002 joined with John Allen to firm The Professionals, who I had the privilege of managing. Mike abruptly left wrestling in the fall of 2004 due to a family issue & to my knowledge never returned to wrestling.
Great video dude, had some stuff in it that I actually missed over the years.
I saw Eddie at a Holiday Inn in Winnipeg during this period and he totally stole the show, and Omega was also there. Edit: it just got mentioned 😆
RIP hermano.
🙏🏼
He looks incredibly out of place on some of these shows. You just don't see people like Eddie in their prime in front of twelve people in a gym.
Although I reckon you don't see people like Eddie period.
It’s interesting there is a story that nearly mirrors this but didn’t work out. Post scandals and demons X-Pac was a fan of Chikara and did a lot for them and he was teasing a comeback to the indies putting a lot of guys over on commentary. Ultimately it didn’t work out as he did some limited physical stuff here and there. In his own words he just couldn’t get back into the ring shape he wanted to be in to not look bad. I think his last thing was a program for GCW.
He was one of the greatest of all time
Fantastic, Wonderful video my man. I've been an Eddie fan since the mid 90s and have never actually seen this footage. I've never sought it out or knew it existed. Such insightful content brother, thank you. Great work homie 👍
Eddy was one of my favorites as well ,great work Kim ,greetings frol México 😊
Eddie's 2001-2002 indies run is why CM Punk became The Best In The World later on in his career.
Can't believe I never seen someone document his indie career in 2002
Thank you for uploading this great video. Eddie's journey on the independent circuit was truly inspirational.
I missed you, Eddie. Excellent video!❤
This going straight to the pool room.
I had the honor of watching Eddie guerrero go against super crazy in person, the crowd absolutely loved those two. One of the best memories i have with my father is seeing two of my favorite wrestlers competing , makes me wish my pops was still around. Rip pops, Rip Eddie 😢
Had no clue this channel existed, for once reddit did good!
Lol u have a slight speech impediment
Lol Jim woss
Lmao wehab
Just a couple days ago I downloaded and been watching since Eddie's matches in ROH and a couple of his IWA matches against CM Punk, so your timing is honestly astonishing XD.
The small connections to what would be the future of wrestling give me chills, especially that Kenny Omega fact.
such an unforgiving business for those who wish to entertain others. you live on in our childhood memories eddie. thank you so much </3
Excellent
Fond memories of watching that FWA show, then getting into the UK wrestling radio show and buying some other FWA on VHS through mail order.
A Surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
