Just listening to Southgate makes you nod off, let alone the dribble he's coming out with.
Picking maguire and playing him against Scotland too. Gareth is the most tone deaf manager i have ever seen and he just sits there trotting out stupid complaints about fans

Topic aside. I absolutely love that TalkSport have educated and more mature hosts and guests on sharing their opinions. Martin was an established manager for so long, Simon has been an owner and around the game for decades too. The Sky sports route of having children that have played Fifa as almost pundits is ridiculous.

It’s such terrible man management from Southgate to continue to put these players in the line of fire like this. Fans want to see players being chosen on form; they all/we all have our club allegiances and think our own players deserve to be picked, especially over players who haven’t played for their current club, or those playing in sub-standard/non-competitive leagues. But if he’s gonna keep picking players who dont deserve it on current form, he needs to be prepared for the backlash. We’ve just had the exact same issue with Maguire; it’s amazing to hear him continue to claim he doesnt know why its happening

Picking a player from the Saudi league is like picking a championship/league 1 player.

I used to think Southgate was quite good at the political and diplomatic side of football. But he began to equivocate in Qatar when he found out FIFA would punish rainbow armbands with yellow cards etc. And now he's fallen further off the pedestal with his contortions justifying Henderson's selection, in spite of the player's rank hypocrisy and the fact he now plays in an inferior league.
