    Manchester City make first official bid for West Ham’s Declan Rice | £90M transfer offer



    Athletic journalist David Ornstein has reported that Manchester City have made an official transfer bid for Hammers captain Declan Rice. This should start a bidding war with Arsenal who are struggling to to find the money to complete the transfer.

      My work colleague is a Arsenal fan, at first he was saying Arsenal already got him!! Now knowing Man City is interested his saying they no longer rate Declan Rice 😂😂😂

      I think Arsenal know they can get a better player for £80-£100 Million. They cant back out the deal with Rice without looking stupid, so they'll play the we cant afford it game, then go and sign a Milinkovic Savic | Tchouameni.

      The big worry now is £90m is what other clubs value him, but WHU value him at £120 and neither side will budge. Either one side is unhappy or everyone ends up unhappy. This could be messy.

      No idea why Rice set his heart on Arsenal in the first place.
      If you genuinely want to win trophies you don’t go Arsenal.
      You get nothing for being runner up.

      I thought we had this situation 4 days ago. Man City came in with an offer, then apparently they hadn't made an official bid. Now they have… apparently. I hope it's true and it gets done. To be honest, I'd rather he went to City for 90m than to Arsenal for 100m. The longer I've had to think about it, the more I hate the idea of him at Arsenal.

      Until Rice goes Sullivan won’t spend any money on players we need to bring in.

      Fool's Gold. It's gonna backfire. As now Arsenal want to buy West Ham's replacement midfield target Youssouf Fofana for £30m.. its the worst outcome as they lose Rice and their top target.

      Just because Arsenal signed Havertz first doesn’t mean Rice isn’t their top target, it just means it’s easier to get the Havertz deal done. What club makes all their signings in priority order? I’d say almost no club manages to do that

      I don't understand why many WHU fans want Dec at Manchester City, I don't understand why they want to make that team stronger than it is, I think football is more fun when there is competitiveness. Arsenal will grow and win trophies and it's not far away.

      I think Arsenal and City should both pull out, that would throw a cat amongst the pigeons wouldn’t it. if he was still a Republic of Ireland player he’d be £50m at best.

      Let’s hope if he does go, and he probably will, he is wearing blue next season and not red!
