Philips is no good, never was. City bought him because the media was hyping him at the time. Like Roy said, it's not good enough to 'not do anything wrong'. He needs to bring something special in that team to keep getting over the line
Kalvin’s profile at Leeds never really suited the transition to City. His best assets were that he runs for days, he’s a great disruptor out of possession and he can pick out a good long ball, none of those assets are really what Man City need in the base of their midfield the majority of the time

Why are people like him and maguire constantly being discussed they are not good enough simple as
Kalvin was never good enough for City. He couldn't turn down the move, but it was always going to be this way.
Roy’s got a point but I’d take Calvin at Liverpool we need a solid CDM we signed gravenberch & endo and Jürgen isn’t even using them.
Actually he should maybe go to a team not in the top 6 be a starter and watch him shine 🧐
If he doesn't trust him then why not sell him? He's letting him rot in my opinion.
He’s not good enough, would sooner have Trent next to Rice in a holding role for England
Managers judge players on their performance every single day, not just matchdays. What is wrighty talking about
He’s not enough for Man City and Pep’s demands. That simple.
Bad take from wrighty.
Pep can’t just put someone into a premier league game/champions league game so he can try and gain his trust.
Every single point is valuable when you’re fighting for top honours, so pep won’t just take the risk to benefit Kalvin.
This is what Roy is saying. He’s got to impress and gain his trust in training and when he does get the chance, make it count.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t done that when called upon, albeit it hasn’t been to often.
You gain the managers trust on the training field so he's obviously not showing it there
Reality is Pep doesn’t trust him….for whatever reason, whether that be in training or in games.
It’s the managers prerogative, it’s that simple. It’s a game of opinion
If he doesn't trust him why keep him???

Phillips played one full game last season😂Pep don’t rate him at all come one
I my self think don't rate him and the money spent on him
