Howard Webb hosted another episode of the PGMOL’s Mic’d Up show. Among the focus was Michael Oliver’s controversial decision not to send off Man City’s Mateo Kovacic for his fouls on Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.

Gusto and Jones were not late in their challenges see as they both got the ball.
Jones was a 50/50 that his foot ended up going over the ball.
Gusto got there first. And Dinge technically kicked gustos studs cause he missed the ball
You know what, I don’t even know the rules of the game anymore; onside goals are called offside with the aid of Tech… 7:02 for me it’s a tale of karma.
Silly me and i thought Oliver was just in the UAE pocket !
Twenty years of corrupt northern referrees cheating Arsenal every week, but no we can't mention that.
So the reason it's not a red is because he didn't snap odegaard leg ? That makes sense.
Michael Oliver is a cheat. Simple.
Corruption
Almost unsubbed this channel (even though I rly like it) until U made it clear that none of Howards rambles yesterday explained anythiing other than they are, as previously shown, STILL completly incompetent and without a shred of integrity! THe silverlining is always something I guess, but it doesnt take away from the fact that that PGMOL and its members are a fraud and should be investigated thourughly
Michael Oliver is anti-arsenal. And also these mistakes are deliberate reason is they are consistent.
yah the REAL reason is THAT they BRIBE!! the fckng OFFICIAL!!! MAN CITY FINANCIAL DOPING 15+++++< YEARS! and NOTHING IS DONE!!! NOW THEY WON TREBLE!! and lost to ARSENAL and fckng SALTY!! and then they BRIBE OFFICIAL! ARSENAL PLAYING AGAINST 12 men, DISGUSTING CITY!! REMEMBER CITIZEN that ur SUCCESS GLORIES TROPHIES are all DUE TO UR FINANCIAL DOPING 15++ YEARS!! REMEMBER THAT DISGUSTING DESPICABLE!!!
As far as the football law is concerned a warning also means 'don't do that again' and he does minutes later which merits a red. You can wax lyrical about the technicalities of judging/contact/impact (the last word being the new black among refs which makes no sense vs the football law) a foul but that leaves out context which should be the deciding factor here, which again means it's a glaring red card/double yellow. The ref standard atm is shocking, not only on the PL. It's the same with the tackle in the Liverpool game, yes, he rolls on the ball, but everything else is reckless af which again is at least a very dark yellow. But there's a lot of numbness out there it seems.
Get refs from other league's
As an arsenal fan, I'm glad he wasn't sent off. We beat city with 11 men and hopefully this will raise the bar for future sending offs so refs don't ruin games unless they absolutely have to.
Agree still cant understand how the two takles was not at min two yellows cards.
I agree that he didn't get a red, cause after those two obvious red card offenses, psychologically he was sent off and thus less effective on the defense. Basically city were psychologically 1 man down while technically having 11 men.
There is no material difference between the Kovacic tackle and their Jones/Gusto ones.
Why do you spend time discussing that Kovacic ‘had to make the tackle’? It’s totally irrelevant. The angle of contact is also not relevant – and he has 100% caught the player on shin and Achilles with his studs.
The rules relate to excessive force that endangers the safety of an opponent. You see this in all 3 tackles. It was a bad VAR error & inconsistent with the standard set when Liverpool had their appeal dismissed.
Did you not used to do games and star trek news?
Just bloody react to the foul!
There is nomore red cards. If it was xhaka 😂
This just goes to show the governing of the game in the Premier League is an absolute circus 🤡
how much oil money was paid to oliver for that match in saudi?
It's not that deep. It is rather simple. Michael Oliver is just a poor referee. Makes Howard Webb look a bit deluded when he refers to him as "one of the best" or something similar to them words.
I remember Michael Oliver when he first started out, he looked nervous and raw. I thought he might develop over time. He just hasn't. He is too scared to make a mistake.
One quality I do/did like about him is that he doesn't seem to have biases. Many errors and mistakes, of course he feared a decision against City because they are City. It can come off as a bias but I think it comes from a different place then others.
Cheats! Sick of them!
Any other team and that would've been deemed a "reckless challenge" and a red. Two reds for Liverpool – one just for another random player in red for the fun of it.
A reckless challenge is a challenge from behind or the sides, performed at speed and with follow-through- and doesn't have to have studs showing. But it is City.
Anyone remember how Fernandinho was allowed to demolish players week-in, week-out without a care in the world and with all the protection he could possibly have. I've NEVER witnessed such blatant cheating by the refs before in the Premier League.
D@mn, I wouldn't be surprised if he still had thousands of saves stocked up in the bank! Set for life.
I mean that guy can k|ll someone in a bank robbery in the 30 years and I swear a ref will pop up and wave play on!
The short answer is, the refs are on payroll from syeikh Mansour. This happened a lot with rodri, fouling everyone and yet, no cards for rodri. Kovacic is just can't make it subtle bcs when he's on chelsea, he don't get used to fouling.
football is like wwe nowadays, they're all actors, just looks at it wwe is all about making fake contact look real to the crowd on tv, the VaR is watching the game on tv IN SLOW MOTION, This IS why messi is the GOAT BROS bin acting long before VAR
So the reasoning behind VAR not intervening on Kovacic's second yellow was because of the laws of the game but also the referee may not have followed the laws because it may ruin the spectacle..
the refree just getting worse 🤣🤣🤣
anytime i see oliver on the crew i know there is some fuckery afoot
3:43 That's such a load of BS!! Unbelievable. Yes, his foot in that instance of the freeze-frame , makes contact with the side of his foot, but it quickly turns so that it's full contact with his studs right after that . Basically, they went frame by frame to find the most favorable point of view to justify a wrong decision. The complete lack of integrity from these buffoons is astounding and, frankly, despicable.
The real reason is because Michael Oliver gets paid handsomely by the Middle East to referee matches and does not want to compromise his position!!💵💷 money talks!
Add it to the 115 charges
Whistling thanos 😂 a real block head
You're giving VAR too much wiggle room for why they didn't interfor on the first tacle. His studs are up, his foot is straight, his not close to winning the ball, and it's dangerous. The defence from Howard Webb also did not say Kovacic's studs did not hit Ødegårds leg. He said his foot was straight up and his ancle hit the ground first. But you clearly see that his ancle did not hit the ground first. This is absurd!
Achilles challenge on purpose no where near contact with the ball red all day uncontrolled and studs up. The stud up again for second foul
"Whistling Thanos" A+++
Recent incidents suggest Pgmol is corrupted…
That was somed seriously finessed click bait.
Indirectly what Arsenal fans are saying, spurs are pure shite cause they celebrated won an own goal against 9-man Liverpool. Bravo that 👏🏻
I'm just so tired of VAR not being able to do their damn job. The whole point of VAR is to catch mistakes that refs make on the pitch. Refs are human, mistakes happen, and that's fine. VAR is supposed to be the failsafe for when mistakes happen. When VAR doesn't catch obvious things or by the rules isn't allowed to intervene when a mistake is made because it doesn't meet certain stupid fucking obligatory requirements for an intervention (IE being able to intervene in a red card offense but being unable to intervene in a second yellow which is equivalent to a red card and has the same consequences in the match) it just makes everyone look bad.
This is as pure an exsample of a refs self interest as you will ever see, we can only guess whst that self interest is, but i wager it has nothing to do with "not spoiling the game".
