      It's a misnomer. There is only one Kevin De Bruyne, players have their own idiosyncrasies . Pep's strength is identifying it quickly. He can make his mind up in nano-seconds.

      Horrendous week for City. Football is a game of two halves, do the maths, when the ref blows for the interval the games already 50% done. You're playing catch up.
      Back in the day, there was a school of thought if your were fitter you would get more advantages in the second half. Re-5 subs rule, effectively ends that. The modern game means you get round the opposition's neck from first whistle, set the tempo, set the impetus. Liverpool were the first to discover that. Never let the opposition have a respite, until they crack.

      From a disastrous couple of games were City couldn't manage to set the impetus by not scoring in the first halves, there was one tiny ray of hope.

      Obviously James McAtee and Maximo Perrone have not set the world alight as far as Pep's concerned. Is anyone holding their breath they will ever be a first team regular?

      Pep and most fans can tell within a few minutes if a player is the real deal. They're rarely wrong. Oscar Bobb seems to have passed that test, the Pep Test, at St James' Park, from newbie to trusted player.

      He took Nunes off at half time at Wolves to be replaced by Oscar Bobb because in Pep's own words, he brings something different, better chances. He's won Pep over, like Rico and Phil Foden. No qualms about bringing them on in games even serious games.

      Never seemed to really do that with Cole Palmer and Maximo Perrone, only featured for final minutes when City were in a winning position.

      Valentin Barco? City should out-Brighton Brighton. That's the future, cut out the middleman. Already on the case, telling Valentin to get his fighting-weight up to 70k. Reading between the lines City are learning on the job and have found Maximo a bantam-weight.

      Would love musiala at man city sad news today about Francis lee. A legend of the club, was too young to see him play but I'm sure he was a phenomenal player. 🇮🇪💙
