  1. Do you think Pulisic is better than his competitor Chukwueze? I noticed that when Chukwueze starts AC Milan don’t score but when Pulisic plays Milan have scored almost every time. I thought Pulisic would have already lost his spot and I hope don’t jinx it but it looks like Christian won his spot

  2. USMNT in the big 5

    Starters: 9 of 1100

Starts in wins: 4 of 550

    Minutes: 1174 of ~100,000

    Goal Contributions: 4

Still need to double or triple or participation rate to be taken seriously as a soccer nation, but I do like the minutes this week overall.

No handball on the Pulisic goal. VAR got it right. Ball was off the chest. Marginal if any contract with the upper arm; no contact at all below the sleeve, bicep doesn't come into the play. Camera facing into the goal captures the action beautifully. Pulisic with 25% of the goals scored by AC Milan, tied for the most with Giraud. Nice start to the season. Stay healthy "Mr. USA".

I agree with you about going back to 4-2-3-1 if we can, but not convinced we can stay healthy. Tillman is reputedly injured. Reyna is made of glass and probably shouldn't be a 90 minute player until he gets fit.

  3. i am really pleased with my paramount plus investment. Its great to rely on folks like this who comprehensively cover basically every player. But its a whole nother thing to watch the games yourself, experience the Serie A atmospheres. Juve is a bit boring I get it, but overall its been a lot of fun watching americans in italy this year. Lets hope it continues.

  4. –> No excuses: CCV's error was bad. But (and you could sense a "but" was coming), it was his first match back in a couple of months. He'd had zero game minutes prior to being subbed in at the 62'. For 34 minutes, CCV played his typical solid match. Unfortunately – and crucially – in the 90'+5', the ball got stuck under his feet. He should have booted it. But, normally, he is cool under pressure and manages the situation. The lack of game fitness really got to him there. Once again: No excuses. This was a hugely critical match for Celtic, and CCV blundered.
–> On the weekend, in league play, however, CCV was back to his normal self. I hope Berhalter gives him the minutes he deserves in this international window.

  5. Good point about Americans leading the leagues and how far we've come in the international game … a quantum leap … 👍 Pulisic is even leading Milan in goals. As far as the 'Hand of God' goal, Pulisic's arm was in a natural position and was even moving and turning away from the ball, and hit his chest more than the arm. close call.. 💪👋💯lol

  6. love this weekly recap!!! youre doing the lords work and us fans are plenty appreciative for your time and effort spent on these 🦾

  7. Brenden Aaronson missed an absolute sitter! It was easier to put that on frame if not score than it was to miss, yet he completely missed the target.

  8. According to the letter of the law, if the ball hits where your jersey fits, its not a handball. It might have hit his bicep (maybe) but skin is a handball, from the end of your jersey up its not. They have a picture in the law and everything.
