During a soccer game between Union Saint-Gilloise and Liverpool at Anfield, something bad happened. A laser was pointed at Union Saint-Gilloise’s goalkeeper, Anthony Moris, in the second half of the game.
Before halftime, Liverpool scored a goal, and they kept trying to score more. But Moris, the goalkeeper, made some great saves to keep his team in the game.
In the middle of the second half, someone in the crowd pointed a laser at Moris’s face. He got angry and told the referee about it, and eventually, the laser stopped bothering him.
A similar thing happened in another game in Greece when Ajax played against AEK Athens. A player named Steven Bergwijn had lasers pointed at him just before he took a penalty kick. He still managed to score the penalty despite the distraction.
At the beginning of the match at Anfield, Darwin Nunez missed an easy goal. Liverpool started the game slowly, but they played better as it went on.
In the end, Diogo Jota scored a goal in the second half, securing the win for Liverpool. This victory helps Liverpool be at the top of their group in the Europa League. It’s a good response to their recent loss to Tottenham.
