West Ham are close to completing the signing of Mohammed Kudus from Ajax according to Darmesh Sheth. Kudus scored a hat-trick against Ludogorets last night. Hammers football director Tim Steidten is hoping to fly Kudus back to London on a private jet to complete his medical ahead of a £40m transfer. The news has also been verified by Fabrizio Romano who posted, Mo Kudus and West Ham, almost there. Final documents being checked, matter of details… and then deal closed.

  1. would love to see us get the Brighton manager..full stop…. that's what I call a really good manager…he would make any team better….🙏👍🙏👍🙏

  2. I might well be in a minority here…but I really do hope we can get Lukaku. I’ve never been a huge fan and he’s totally a flat track bully, but he’s proven, has the size and physicality that Moyes looks for, and with the right service and a team geared to getting the ball to him in dangerous areas, I do believe he’d be immense.

  3. I see kudus as LW for now with bowen RW and a midfield of Alvarez JWP and paqueta. A top striker and a some pacy full backs we look great along witha decent bench

  4. Best West Ham acquisition so far: Tim Steidten. Kudus, Mavropanos, Alvarez have brough our average age down/our pace up, and brought in players with sell-on value. If we sell Ings and Johnson to make room, we could see a striker arrive, although with Mubama, Cornet and Bowen and potentially Kudus, there is flexibility there. IF Kudus goes through, then I'm a happy hammer.

  5. This looks to be an exciting signing… one question occurs to me though – seeing as he just played for Ajax does this mean he will be cup-tied for us in the EL games? I know this would normally be the case domestically for our cup competitions but is this even 'a thing' in UEFA competitions? Sorry if I'm being thick, just genuinely curious to know.

  6. Hope Tims clocking up the air miles, Definitely the best signing Sullivan has made hopefully Moyes won’t say Kudus needs settling in time and will play him straight away. I can’t help but get excited we’re starting to look like a really formidable team COYI

  7. Last year's cup win has I think pushed WH high in the list for top world players at last. The average Prem finish was worth winning the cup because finishing high up in the Prem doesn't seem too register in the world like a European cup win does.

  8. My hope is that we can free up some other midfield positions that were a bit tied up by accommodating Declan Rice in his last two seasons and that we can use some of the attacking options available to us now.

  9. If we get Kudus over the line we would currently have 24 players to register, Areola, Fab, Annang, Coufal, Johnson, Mavrapanos, Kehrer, Aguerd, Zouma, Ogbonna, Emerson, Cress, Paqueta, Alverez, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Bowen, Benny, Cornet, Fornals, Kudus, Antonio, Mubama and Ings. I'd expect us to bring in Lingard on a free and to sign a striker and a LB. Which means two players would have to make way which I'd imagine would be Cress and Fornals. Kehrer might be sold for transfer funds also.

  10. If we succeed in signing Kukus, then we have negotiated ourselves towards having an exceptional squad, in all areas. We have bought and sold smartly (for a change!?) and there is a post-Rice buzz around the club that I never thought would be the case. Now I know this is West Ham United we're talking about, but it's possible that this could be the season that we finally get all our ducks in an exceptionally promising row. Now c'mon you ⚒ and do us proud.

  11. Just had a reflection that we are now buying players off Ajax as if it is the norm. Players with real quality and flair. However didn't stop Gary Neville spouting his normal tosh that its great that Luton have The Hammers as their first actual home game as we will be a soft touch to get their season up and running. They just don't understand that now WEST HAM are MASSIVE everywhere we go. P.s when's the tash coming off

  12. Great that it looks like we will sign Kudus but under Moyes he is not a Moyes type player. The way he plays is full on attack he doesn't get behind the ball and defend. Moyes will do the same as he did with Said, constrain his natural game to defend. So I really don't understand the signing unless Moyes isn't staying…

  13. Sadly some of the new signings won’t thrive in the system Moyes plays.
However, with the hope being that this is Moyes last season, these are future proof players.
Having said that with this much quality in the squad we may well surprise a few people this season!
In Tim we trust – he’ll have earmarked Moyes replacement already!

  14. Probably get slaughtered for this but I’d take Lukaku on loan if Moyes can get him fit & interested like he did with Arnautovic.
If we could get him anything like he was at West Brom or Everton he’d be a great front man in Moyes system!

  15. What’s great as well is last seasons signings are bedded in. Aguerd and Emerson look great at the moment. If we get a RB and a striker. Over the moon
