City and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips is the latest guest on the Official Man City Podcast.

A summer 2022 arrival from Leeds, the combative engine room enforcer contributed to our historic Treble-winning campaign last term as we lifted the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup crowns.

Before joining Pep Guardiola’s side, the likeable Yorkshireman excellently progressed through the Elland Road team’s youth ranks to achieve hero status at the club after helping them win promotion from the Championship in 2019/20.

In the newest instalment of the Official Man City Podcast, Phillips sits down with Paul Dickov and Rob Pollard to guide us through his professional footballing journey so far.

He discusses growing up in Leeds, making his senior debut, his move to City and much more.

  1. Honestly just needs to step up his game. I know there's a great player in there, just the confidence lacking and when he eventually finds that confidence he had at Leeds, he'll definitely start ahead of Gueye at Everton

  2. I feel like he's not happy in mancity. He doesnt play much. He needs to play full time. At least by being transferred to another team cuz I dont think if pep will give him enough matches to play

  3. Really appreciate the club puts all of their players out there; that internal support is really crucial for their morale and confidence. 👑 Support everyone who reps the badge 💙

Unlike those toxic, chronically online twitter/internet gibbons disguising themselves as 'fans'.

  4. It's sad that He's just not Manchester City kind of a player,he's not a pass & move into the next available free space tiki-taka kind of a player,he's more like Tom Huddlestone,Jenas or a bit of Andrea Pirlo. He's good at long balls, the players who makes it at City have a similar characteristics Press-Resistant, Brave on the ball & confident enough to ask for the ball in tight spaces & not lose possession. Rico Lewis has that,Sergio Gomez too who's playing as a leftback even though he grew up playing as a midfielder from Barcelona to Dortmund until Anderlecht changed his position,in Spain he's still seen as a midfielder. David Silva,Bernardo Silva,Gundogan,Foden & now Kovacic have the City DNA & Nunes is way more technically gifted to make it at City than Phillips. Wish he realises that & moves to a team that plays quick transition football like Newcastle,Westham,Liverpool or even Bayern or Madrid that will use his long pass abilities & give him the confidence & love that he deserves.

  5. Sorry but City needs much higher quality player.. just kalvin is not the city Level.. there is no place for him so I think it will be better for him to leave not just for city for him as well
