Man utd like to go for flop play like Sancho antony Harry Paul pogba and more
Pellistri against palace made great runs and always found space but the midfield didn't spot him or have the quality to find him. I think if we put garna on the left both sides would probably get equal importance. I think a player for example pogba would've found pelli 5-6 times in yesterdays game at dangerous positions.
Unitedās handling of young players over the last few years has been horrific, they have derailed and almost ruined the careers of some players
One player you didnāt mention in video,Ethan Galbraith for example, they kept him in pl2 for way too long even when it was obvious he was too good for that level, when they eventually loaned him, they sent him to League One which I thought was ridiculous at the time cuz I thought he was good enough for the championship. He was very impressive at Doncaster and I remember seeing various tweets from their fans saying heās too good for league one.
After completing an excellent league one season,United then proceeded to send him to Salford in league 2 š¤¦š¾āāļø
Canāt imagine what that might have done to his confidence,a fantastic player who had all we were crying out for in midfield, ruined by the clubs reckless management of youth
Heās not good enough, simple as that. And tbh I donāt think itās all down to Utdās treatment- I just think his ceiling isnāt as high as some thought.
Quick breakdown:
Quite quick but not lighting quick. Certainly canāt rely on his pace to beat a man- heās not Dan James.
Quite good technique but no where near the likes of Bernardo Silva
Doesnāt have ANY physical strength
Short passing looks decent but thatās all weāve seen. Nothing around long passes, no clinical through balls.
Havenāt seen him use his left foot.
Definitely canāt head a ball.
Work rate pretty good but when you weigh 8 stone canāt exactly help defend well.
He wonāt be in the PL next season. Wonāt ever come back. Heās a mid-table European club player
I believe there is a fine line with developing players, some just take the jump to first team like it's nothing. Some players there is fine balancing act and unless you get it right they're don't make it and or develop. I think this is part of a bigger problem at United, we clearly don't have a clear strategy with signing players and this seems to be true to of our youth teams too with how we decide and or decide their first team route or even if they have one. We need restructure at the club and we need a proper Football Director. It's all part of the bigger problem of having the Glazers as owners, until we sell nothing changes.
Example of this video is Arteta and William saliba's development.. and boy o boy look at the player Saliba is right now.. Get a good plan for him send him out and if he's ready use him in your line up.. Man United have few talents that are ready but not given the Chance and when being given the Chance it's always when the team are playing mediocre football ā½ with a pressure for the Young boy to out perform everyone.. Man United has an absolutely ridiculous and Disastrous development plans for Young player's.. Glazer's Out pls.. we need open Heart Surgery and to be well Properly run.. One Love Guy's ā¤
He's not even decent. Dude is freaking 22 this year, same age as haaland, look at the sheer difference. I know that haaland is a striker but there are so much talent at this age miles better than pellistri. The way he plays is so amateur and plays like an 18 year old as you said. United can't just rely on that kid to grow, we really need ready made wingers to improve, yeah i know we don't have much option since antony and sancho are out but i would at least try mount at rw. Pellistri gets bodied, his pace is good for nothing, running like a headless chicken only to lose the ball since his touches are off. Creates absolutely nothing. Garnacho is 19 and does way more than he does on the left. Just bring Antony back, at least he scores goals.
Jack Harrison developed well in the MLS thatās a good shout to send youngster to develop but MLS is not a top league only a handful of teams have great managers and trainers
Pellistri is a perfect example why we are shit in improving young players. The man is 22 and still got time to grow however at the same time Foden, Saka, Vini Jr and Martinelli are elite level players long before they turned 21 and that's the difference between a well run club like Arsenal, City and Madrid and a poor run club like us. The fact we would rather have Pellistri who's still raw over big money players like Antony and Sancho is peak Manchester United.
1. Neither City nor Chelsea play their youth. Rico Lewis and Phil Phoden are extreme rarities.
2. The MLS is too far below the PL in terms of quality, and so it might not provide the most effective preparation opportunity.
3. Pellestri and other Manchester United youth now are victims of the lack of rotation in top-level football. Managers no longer rotate the moment they identify their preferred 11. (Which I ofcourse despise)
Nonsense title the guy is just simply overrated by fans he could start for a different club but not united unless we arenāt serious which u can see. 22 years old and honestly He doesnāt even start for palace
For me he's not as good as some of your fans make him out to be. Why do your fans do this. Hannibal isn't great either they are squad players at best. Alvaro Fernandez probably has better st potential but even then he needed another loan with a top championship side. Only Maino looks like a potential starter.
I know i will upset alot of man utd fans. I honestly don't rate this kubbie mainoo guy
I've watched Pellistri play for Manutd and I came up with just one thing. He's too lightweight for the premier league. He gets bullied off the ball easily. Antony has the same issues. It's time these players bulk up a bit if they really want to have a career in this league
Pellestri is decent but nowhere ready to play for United.
He should be used as part of the deal to get Pedro Neto in January because Sancho might be leaving.
Rashford and Antony needs proper competition and Neto being a proper creative winger will offer alot more now that United have a proper striker.
United need a squad depth of players that are elite & hungry not mediocre & underdeveloped.
Sell Sancho & Sign Neto in January.
Bring back Greenwood, sell Pellestri, release Martial & Sign Ferguson in the summer.
Ferguson, Hojlund, Greenwood, Rashford, Neto, Garnacho & Antony should be a solid frontline for the next decade.
Water under the bridge!
I think Garner was unlucky and the result is partly due to United just sacking managers. Garner did really well at Forest, but got injured in pre season under Ten HAg. He then got injured again at Everton last season, but he's recovered this season. Honestly, would have kept him over Mctominay any day. Injuries have also hampered Mainoo and Amad this season.
When we sent Ćlvaro FernĆ”ndez on loan there was outrage from the fans. People donāt understand that very few young players have what it takes, all this tradition bs about young players is silly, they need to deserve a place first.
Remember Januzaj, we overhyped him and probably destroyed his career too.
Are we too quick to judge that every player, if they're going to make it big in football, needs to be elite at the age 21, 22 or else they'll never make it? Perhaps that's the expectation but definitely not the universal rule. Some players develop late. It's not as easy as just sending them out on loan. A player is human and humans mature differently. SAF is a master at bringing young players through but since the Class of 92, can we say there's always been a steady stream of academy grads making it big in the first team? I don't think so. Most are just good enough as squad players. A young player with potential, you can see the natural talent right away. Like Garnacho. Like Bellingham. Pellestri doesn't show that. Not saying he's not gonna make it. He may eventually but we can't really set a time for every player. It's why the young and supremely talented players are so costly. Because not everyone is like them.
GG
Seems logical. Well made video.
It's impossible because eth would rather start bruno at rw every chance he gets and the worst one he always starts antony even if he plays badly
I always say that we ruined rashford,s career to some extent.when he broke through,he looked like one of the best prospects but he was relied on immeadietly and missed some key developmental stages.l,m sure if he,d broken through city,s academy,he,d be world class coz there,s no way someone,s passing becomes worse over the years
The problem is we overate youngsters.l,ve watched hannibal and l dont see the hype.we should sell him for profit when there,s still hype.there,s not much there honestly.he,s decent but thats as much as there is
We should send our players to loan in premier league only because everyone performs great outside England but as soon as they come here, they fail miserably.
Manchester United is a graveyard for all the talents.
I think low level bundesliga side is also perfect for youngsters for their development and even Portugal or Netherlands
Give the boy time and improve his physicality a bit more, he's good.
Ten Hag simply kept him after Jan window because he knew he could not trust Sancho fully
Bantchester United ruins everyones career. Hojlund made a mistake by joining.
Solskjaer kept an extremely bloated squad during his time at united. That was a big reason on why united's young players suffered and we lost so many players on free transfers.
