Hojbjerg scored some clutch goals and played an important role for the team last year. I rate his attitude and willingness to adapt to Angeball will propel him in the lineup and I expect to see a lot more from him, especially in the latter stages of the season. I think y'all are being a bit too harsh on Richi and although his attitude and attention may currently be misplaced, Ange's assessment of his importance to the team in terms of pressing supersedes his lack of goalscoring form. There may be other mitigating factors in his life leading to this current run of form and while that shouldn't be a contributing factor, he is human and deserves a touch more empathy imho.
Richy has been promoted beyond his pay-grade. He was more comfortable in a struggling Everton. Sad but true. It's doing him no favours keeping him at the forefront at Spurs. He's had more than enough time to show what he's got. Yes, he was playing second fiddle to Kane last season, but compare how Danjuma behaved, hardly playing, but going for it whenever he was on the pitch, and being dignified and enthusiastic – total class – whereas Richy is throwing tantrums and messing up, for whatever reason. How many more games do we want to jeopardise by having him in the way and chucking his toys out of the pram? He's draining some of the manager's and team's energy which should be used to win games, but we do need to bring in a striker if he goes (we can't say 'another' striker since Richy isn't delivering in that role) so we need to line one up for January if the Saudis are going to come in for him. I hope they do, it's becoming humiliating for him, which is not nice to see, and is frustrating for the club and the fans, however sympathetic we may feel for him on a human level.
