We all talk about GK needing to be able to use their feet but the main, the absolute main purpose of a keeper is to stop goals at the last moment. Let's be honest we've all seen every keeper make some massive blunders. De Gea made errors absolutely but his performances in the games when UTD scraped by 1-0 are some of the best you'll ever see in a keepers shirt. Utds defence has been appalling for years. Varane was fantastic at Madrid, but he had arguably one of the very best defender's of all time next to him in Ramos. Martinez is good but not as good as Ramos. Luke Shaw is a great player but dogged by injury. There needs to be a backbone to a side with so much confidence that no doubt of losing ever creeps in. Ever. We haven't got a world class side we've got a side that thinks they're world class but can't deliver week in week out.

every time de gea. we bought a keeper for rubbish sideway passes instead of match-saving, player of the season. And it's not like United is Brighton where they build up and score goals in continuous flow. We need David. Taking about defenders, de Gea played in the back of Maguire and Lindelof and still was player of the season.
Here's a thought – da gea is on a free – sign him on a one year rolling contract – just saying

Onana has played 10 games. These things should be considered over the course of a season. I think the key is the defence has not been improved on last year due to indecisive recruitment by Man Utd. Kim & Pavard will have been great additions but Utd managed to screw that up.
Why are we all forgetting this guy got humiliated with by Lucas moura’s weak foot in the champions league if anyone de gea leaving at 32 should never have even been an option never mind replace him with someone considerably worse because he can use his feet well that was proved wrong probably one of the worst mistakes Man Utd have made and we are forgetting Edwin van der sar joined Man Utd at 37-38 years old just a foolish unforgivable decision made by both manger and club de gea got treated like dirt for the past 6+ years now everyone sees how good and important he was to us hope onana gets better but I can’t see it happening any time soon
