`looks red Jaime – Liverpool fan
100% a red in todays game. Whats the issue? If it had been Bissouma on Jones would Liverpool fans be saying its not a red? Real controversy should be covering the blatent onside goal that even through VAR was dissallowed
we dont care because nobody complained about Gusto red card lol
Obvious red. Unlucky, but still a clear red.
"don't slow it down" then shows why he thinks it isn't a red card via incredibly slowed and stopped footage
How is Jamie defending that 😔
Clear anti Liverpool agenda with refs, some of the refs should be hold accountable and sacked
The officials.were bought. LFC robbed. Officials in UAE a few hours before…. the sheiks have the league sewn up
Only football could mess up video replays when MULTIPLE sports have used it with no issues for tens of years
Ice hockey – faster, more physical, more goals more shots with a tiny faster puck
American football- more physical, has more players all going from zero to 100 with more for referees to see
Rugby – faster, more physical, players all on top of each other at times
Athletics – best athletes in the world with mini seconds and millimetres meaning victory
Tennis – faster ball, more points to referee
Cricket – noise off bats from a tiny nick, heat off bats, LBW
For the easy examples
I don't have a problem with the red. I have a problem with the overall officiating. I don't think they should have appealed this. On Jotas first extremely soft yellow, the fouled player should have been given a second yellow himself and sent off for trying to influence the ref into giving a yellow. This is blatant in the rule book. Didn't happen though. Nor did Richarlison get a yellow for doing the same thing. If you watched this game and genuinely saw no bias whatsoever, you're deluded.
All this moaning when it’s a nailed on red card. No one is saying Jones went in to do the opponent but that has no bearing on the fact that he takes the lad out above the ankle with his studs up. On another day Bissouma doesn’t have his weetabix in the morning and Jones breaks his leg.
they dont even slow it down they showed a still image its a joke
My problem with this is that there are much worse tackles WITH intent to harm (with some leading to injury) that are ignored, how is that not corrupt?
Its a red card all day, but Jamie is correct, slow motion and freeze frame always makes it look worse. But they havent suddenly started doing that on the day a decision goes against Liverpool.
They been doing it since the start of VAR and Liverpool have benefitted from it on many occasion as Mo Salah throws his arms in the air and loses his ability to put one leg in front of another under the slightest touch.
Stop moaning, take it and move on.
Completely agree with Jamie. The play isn’t that speed, so slowing it down is massively unfair to Jones. If he had that same amount of time to react he obviously wouldn’t have made that decision.
Would he still be saying this if he broken Bassouma’s ankle?
Remember when Casemiro did it and Gusto? Liverpool fans weren’t moaning then, Karma for Liverpool
Why is he now only complaining about this slowing down and pausing on impact issue is it because it was Liverpool as this is what var has always done but now it’s affected his club he is up in arms ..
the kind of unbiased pundits we do not need who next Sourness or Redknapp
Mate its a red eithier way. Whys he crying. If that happens to me i want a red all day. Not about intention its about the outcome. Potential leg breaker
Might aswell name this channel sky sports liverpool
It's frustrating they didn't show all the angles and looked at the contact before the actual foul
Straight red absolutely no doubt, LiVARpool fans crying yet again. Victim FC.
Where was this energy when Casemiro got done dirty last season
Gusto, casmerio, defo red not in dept conversation. Liverpool red: let’s change the rules
It's a red, he might not have meant it but its a red, the offside is what liverpool can rightfully moan about but i hate this victim mentality over every decision all the time, its dangerous play and its a red its really simple
It’s a red card. Objectively. It doesn’t matter if it’s slowed down or if the ref saw a still of it first before seeing it in slow motion. If a spurs player had done this to a liverpool player, the liverpool fans would be saying it’s a red card.
A former Liverpool player saying don’t slow it down! Biased much?! Next he’ll be saying don’t show the ball or the other player on the receiving end! Although he was pretty happy to slow down the controversial offside wasn’t he!
I’ve just always felt red cards should be reserved for tackles where there is clear intent to harm and/or you’re out of control such as sliding/diving in
He wins the ball first with his heel on the floor & then his foot rolls over it which for me makes it a yellow
If he would of gone in with his foot high to begin with then there’s no argument it’s a red but I don’t think that was the case
The big issue is the inconsistency, we see far worse than this every week go completely unpunished
No different to Casemiro last year when he got a red card for his foot going over the ball into the player
Carra spot on as per
Definitely not a red he got the ball
Have they got a shoe sponsor ? Theyre all wearing the same shoes
Jamie is NOT saying its NOT a red card. All he is saying is that the images being shown is the wrong way of going about it. Honestly i think its 50 50 much like Gusto last week. But its the way the decision came about lets just say it as it is VAR is not the issue its the way its implemented nobody is saying you cant make a mistake but when mistakes are made you need to be held accountable like in any other profession. Stepping them down for a few games is not punishment its protection. If the mistakes they made are the catalyst for change then it can only be a good thing for all teams and Premier League brand as a whole there were quite a few mistakes this weekend and not just in this game this is game just has the most high profile mistakes.
