Poor old Mohammed Kudus has got a fight on his hands to get into the West Ham team. Edson Alvarez, James Ward Prowse and Tomas Soucek have been in such good form that even Lucas Paqueta is being played out of position.

  1. I think it's clear that moyes and our midfield got it wrong and not competitive enough v City and Liverpool.
Going at their throat would have given us a chance.
Kudus would have been the key to unlock them both. Look at wolves.
Their first goal was a pointer. Kudus does that.
Sitting back with souchek and jwp did not work.
Horses for courses and pace is the factor.
Unfortunately souchek does not have none.
Knowing how to rotate and field teams is crucial.
Moyes has far,s and moyesball does not work v the so called top six.
Xavi alonso is a different ball game.
    Moyes out.

  2. Obviously Gonzo is worried about JWP, Bowen , Antonio . Kudus is far better these players . How can you people say “he needs to find his feet in PL” And he only get 16min every game . Even Pacqueta , WH best player get 90min . What has he done this season as far as assist and goals . All kudus needs is one full 90min in PL and this delusion will stop .

  3. All the melons who wanted Moyes out, have gone very quiet – thankfully. West Ham are playing some great football. The team are playing as a coherent team. The players look happy. The players look confident.

Top 8 this year – I'd put higher but European football might cost us up to 9 points.

  4. The travesty on Saturday was that the game was won at half time but there were no subs brought on until much later. Under these circumstances surely the obvious decision was to swap in Kudus at half time and give him a full 45mins. We wouldnt have then tailed off so much with his energy on the pitch. At the same time we could have hooked Antonio who's only good for 45mins these days and given Mubama a run out at the top level for 45mins….except Mubama wasn't even on the bench!

  5. We are so close To a very premiddle Team Gonzo Final. That last piece of the Jigsaw for me is upfront. Find a solution to that & we are on our way.COYI

  6. Soucek's improved form has created a problem though for Moyes, because how is Kudos going to get into this team? the good form of a Soucek is not the good form of a Kudos who, even in the short cameo appearances he's had in the premiership so far, has shown just how much quality he possess. I think Kudos has picked the wrong club, and that's sad to say, but I can't think of many other clubs NOT starting him, but at West Ham? yes, he's not going to play. I think without Kudos we'll be in and around the top eight this season, but WITH Kudos? we could push the top six, that's how good he is, so while I understand fans celebrating the form of the midfield at the moment, it also has a very negative effect on Kudos. We know Moyes loves the Soucek-type player moe than he does the Kudos-type, and that ultimately will be the downfall of Kudo's career at West Ham.

  7. A diamond of Soucek and JWP and Paqueta and Alvares behind a front 2 of Kudus and Bowen is the simple formation change for Moyes to make. Of course he won't!

  8. So why did we sign Mohammad Kudus then? Apart from the way he must be feeling about things, what about the £50 mill? Have we got enough money sloshing around to hand it out like sweeties? It's a complete waste of money and I feel so sorry for the lad. Madness. Also, a bit over the top about Soucek – magnificent – really? He is not undroppable, it's just Moyse.

  9. Alvarez will be banned soon, but then we can move JWP back, Paqueta central and someone like Kudus on the wing. Lovely.

  10. No player in that Westham team has a better skill set, goal scoring prowess and experience than Kudus. Stop hyping mediocre Soucek and Antonio over Kudus, they ain't better.
Moyes just happen to be clueless, its only a matter of time that his backward tactics backfires and gets him fired.

  11. Kudus will play plenty mid week or rotate with Benny /Mickey. No need to rush him in as we're doing much better than this time last season.

  12. Only problem is kudus didn't come here to sit in the bench if he isn't a guaranteed starter by January he'll direct his agents to look for a new club

  13. I don’t think Soucek is droppable but I do think he should occasionally sited. The reasons are 1 to preserve him and 2 Kudus needs to be part of it. He has to have the opportunity to start once in a while to stay sharp. That could mean sitting Paq for a game, or even Bowen once in a while. It’ll be a test for Moyes but Kudus has to be given an occasional start in the league.

  14. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. The opening goal from Bowen was a stunning passage of interplay. Four players involved, on touch opened up their defence like a tin of sardines. The next time they touched the ball was picking it out of the net.

It is not now much of the ball you have but what you do when you have it. This is just the beginning. With this kind of service we won't need to find a 20 goal a season striker, we will just have 4-5 players scoring 10 or more.

  15. I said last season gonzo that we altered the way we played so we got more money for rice. Souchek got dropped back as a defensive as people kept attacking rice for not attacking. Pushed his price up a bit now roce has gone. He’s playing souchek more forward he’s always been more attacking than rice. This is a solid team we just need 2 decent strikers who don’t miss often and we have a great team ❤️🫶🏻⚒️♾️

  16. Kudus should try out in Antonio's position but slightly deeper like a 10 with Bowen to his right as right wing attack stroke centre forward – but both interchangeable depending on how we break forward in each move.
Benny can then go left when Paqueta is subbed later in the game. Antonio can then come on if Kudus is not doing it. It would give Kudus his run out and give Antonio a rest and a desire to impress when he comes on.
Kudus might also naturally end up as a centre forward playing this way as he may burst straight ahead and take on the defence and keeper if slotted through or if found by the ball over the top or in behind.

  17. We as a fanbase disrespect far too many of our players, Soucek, Coufal & Antonio being top of the list. Antonio gets lots of hate, he sure doesn't help himself with his podcast, but just his presence in the Moyes system makes him un-droppable. I'm very happy to have Kudus, but I really don't know why we signed him as his position is our best players positions (Bowen). If he was a left winger ie Harvey Barnes it would make perfect sense as a Benrahma upgrade. I do think Paqueta & Emerson only works as well as it does because they are both Brazilian plus Emerson is an elite player himself also criminally under rated – until maybe this season

  18. Stick Bowen as a Striker and Kudus on the right, i know that Antonio does a lot for us, but think he can even be even more useful as coming off the bench. Defenders get tired then you just put Antonio to bully them.
