Mo Salah '100 per cent' jealous that friend Dejan Lovren is at World Cup

Croatia defender Dejan Lovren has admitted that his former Liverpool teammate Mo Salah is “100 per cent” jealous that he is at the World Cup, while he watches from afar.

The Egyptian star failed to qualify for Qatar 2022 after he missed a crucial penalty in a shootout against Senegal in their March playoff to decide who progressed to the Middle East’s first World Cup.

Lovren, struck up an enduring relationship with the striker before leaving Jurgen Klopp’s team in 2020 for current club Zenit St Petersburg.

And the 33-year-old confirmed that Salah will visit the tournament to support his friend “with a Croatia flag.”
