      This has been a long time coming for Brighton – they've sold and not replaced their best midfielder and centre-back. Aside from Mitoma and (maybe) Ferguson, they have a very very average squad. It's going to be a very long and tough season for them, especially once those European games start and this squad has to play every 3 days.

      Var is a joke, 2nd goal is offside as the player is impeding the keepers view. 3rd goal is a foul on march. Different game if it’s only 1-0.

      As a Brighton fan all I can say is this was a well deserved win for Aston Villa. They were ruthless and emery is doing wonders for the club.

      Why do sky never show the VAR or controversial decisions from any of the games? Taking nothing away from villa as they completely outplayed Brighton but there was no even show of the potential foul in the build up to the 3rd goal.

      for watkins' second goal, how is the other villa player not interfering? if thats a goal then the man city goal that was disallowed a few weeks ago shouldve counted.

      We might have Arteta at Arsenal by what a job Unai Emery is doing at villa. The fans who hounded him out and verbally abused him need to realise the club never backed him properly brilliant manager.
