Nottingham Forest #nffc have submitted a £30 million plus addon verbal bid for the French International Midfielder Youssouf Fofana. The 24 year old Monaco player works as more of a defensive minded midfielder, and is highly thought on in France, and has made 10 appearances for his country.
Rivals #premierleague clubs are also thought to be interested in Fofana, with Liverpool still in the hunt for midfielders, they can not be ruled out of making a move for Fofana if the price is right, so Forest might have to act quickly if they want to complete this signing.
In other new #crystalpalace have shown some interested in taking out of favour forward Dennis from the City Ground, and the player himself is also keen on a move back down to London, so this story might have some legs, if Palace can come in with the right offer.
Nottingham Forest midfielder hunt doesnt end with Fofana with Bologna Argentina international midfielder Nicolas Dominguez also being talked about in the press today, the £15 million rated player may be an alternative to the Fofana deal, and Forest are unlikely to complete both signings.
There is also a crazy story in the news today regarding the potential exit of Forest star Brazilian midfielder Danilo, the report says that both Liverpool and Spurs are interested in taking the midfielder and could make a bid before the end of the transfer window. But with Danilo having a 6 year contract at the City Ground, it would take an large fee to persuade Forest to let go of one of their best players, with little time left to replace him.

For Fofana, I can see a bigger team coming in for him, and I’ve seen some stuff that seems to suggest he isn’t that interested in forest. If we don’t finish this by the end of the weekend, I think we’re probably not getting him. However, if we get him, we will look and play so much better with a stronger midfield. That dream 4-2-3-1 with him and danilo could be a sick midfield.

Syrianos & Wilson is just designed to create conflict BUT it could really work out if the real boss (Marinakis) makes the right calls. Wilson is never going to be the kind of popular executive (he was hated at Rangers) but we HAVE to balance the books and he is the man for that. Forest had to stop spunking money around at random and hoping to land a few hits. Personally I am glad if he have a tight arse controlling the money because we got taken to the cleaners by the likes of Newcastle last year. The fact he has driven a hard bargain around Henderson (who is a £100k a week injury waiting to happen) and de-risked it by bringing in Turner at a cut price commends him in my eyes. That said, he is never going to be the one to pull in a 'marquee' signing and this is where Syrianos comes in. We cannot deny that he has some magic in getting exciting players interested in our club. MAYBE if the two can work together and within financial reality it is a dream team.

We're Nottingham forest we'll just have both.
I guarantee if Dennis goes Palace and gets a run, we'll be scratching our head as to why someone so talented and dynamic couldn't get game time in a team that can't create much and rely on dynamism.
Also side note, I don't think we should sign an expensive keeper like Hendo anymore. I think Turner should be the starter and if we want to sign a backup, sign one with cheap with a higher ceiling. Then use that money to bolster attacking areas and CDM. We lose Dennis and Scarpa… we'll have so few options to rotate for injuries and come off the bench.
I fully agree letting scarpa go made no sense Dennis should have gone instead
