It's a shame it didn't work out for Maguire in the end. He looked solid in his debut campaign and his second season he made a lot of errors but it was masked by McFred and our attacking output and was brilliant in Euro 2020. Since then Maguire became a meme, a joke and disillusioned for his shocking performances and his egoism became toxic. Maguire can thrive in the Premier League and he's a solid player just not good enough for Manchester United or any elite clubs in Europe.

If we sell Maguire for 30 MIl, then we used up 50 mil over 4 years at 12.5 Mil per year (not including wages)… I'd say he wasn't even a bad expense Mathematically speaking. And we shed his 189k per week in wages as well. The press will compare 80 Mil to 30 mil and call it a bad deal, but I think it makes sense, even moneywise.
He’s building a squad where everyone has a purpose. Far too long we’ve had too many players who are there because they’re there. No other reason. Even in the first team.
That’s what builds a mentality…when everyone understands their part in the machine and also, understands where they are on their own personal journey. Two things I think that have been sorely lacking the last 10 years.
Good luck to him. A great fella but the bullying of him wasn't healthy, by fans, YouTube channel and mainstream media. Nowhere near as bad a player as you all made out. Just wasn't up to it at United. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I never wanted Maguire in the first place, He was made look better at a quick counter attacking side with Leicester, As soon as there defender's got the ball there job was just to get the ball up to Mahraez and Vardey ASAP.. He was never a utd type player so I'm delighted to see the back of him but do hope he does well at west ham? He was definitely never in Ten Hags plans as soon as he arrived as was proved last season, Ten Hag wants quick smart players who are comfortable on the ball like the little beast that is Martinez man I luv him he has to be future captain, If Bruno wasn't vice captain I really think Martinez would of been given the armband??

I think Murtough is reluctant to sell Mctominay because he puts on his CV that he was primarily responsible for Mctominay's path to the first team. Its ridiculous to trun down 30 million of pure profit, its not like Mctominay is top class at anything. What do we lose if Mctominay goes? Very little that you couldn't easily get from the academy or a championship player (and there is no disrespect intended that's just true). I suppose we won't be complaining about FFP restrictions then? Seems that we don't need to sell players if we are rejecting 30 million. People who say he is worth more than that are fools. A player who is not part of your first team plans shouldn't be worth that much. So why did we pay so much for Mount then? Well become of John Murtough.

Dont think keeping McTominay is an issue as hes versatille UNLESS the Amrabat deal is only happening if Scott leaves then they shoulda accepted it as Amrabat is a quality addition thats needed. The onky things left to make it a perfect window after him woulda been Kane and Kim Min Jae. But not to be at this point. Todibo and Amrabat would make this a very very good window for United. Late bid for Kane would be a dream window for United.
